we require a drivers license # with pro cards because it is a special discount intended for professionals only. it is also FREE to professionals. if we did not require this it would be very easy for a dishonest professional to lend her cosmetology license # to all her friends, allowing them all to come in and receive free cards that also allow them to purchase harsh chemicals and similar items that are available only to professionals for obvious reasons. during the sign up process we check to make sure that the name on the cosmetology license and drivers license match. all of this information gets sent to our head office in denton, TX regularly and is not a matter of record anywhere in the store.
