I was contacted by Mr. Witt regarding reitrement and estate planning.  Considering that he was an alumn of my Alma Mater and a representative of a very sound and reliable financial company, I've decided to set up a meeting.  Mr. Witt was very professional and prepared.  Towards the end of the first meeting I've decided to go with his company in setting up various retirement and estate planning services.  A string of meetings followed, all very satisfying.

Everything was going well, until I stopped hearing from Mr. Witt.  After establishing only one of the agreed services, he disappeared.  After trying to contact him for over a month I've decided to give the company a call.  Though I was informed by the local office that he's no longer with the company, the national headquarters told me that he's still assigned as my represenatative.  It's a mess.  In an industry where trust is king, such lack of professionalism is unacceptable.

Given that crucial personal information was exchanged, I feel very uneasy about the whole situation.  This sheds really bad light on Northwestern Mutual in general and Mr. Witt in particular.  If you ever run into him in any capacity, stay away.  The individual is unprofessional, and irresponsible.  The fact that he never bothered informing me that he's leaving the company speaks volumes about the respect he has for his clients.
