Samsung Galaxy s4 phone constantly pops up a message saying, "no sim card detected." A restart is then required. The phone may be in your pocket when this happens and you are then unable to recieve calls. After at least 10 calls to support, I was told to ship the phone to Plano Texas. Texas support accused me of an attempted unauthorized repair because the color of my phone had been changed. Why would I attempt an unauthorized repair when I am still under warranty? I also did not change the color. I paid $279 for the phone, refurbished, and what a mistake. I bought the phone 8/21/2015 with a 1 year warranty. Since the phone was returned it still pops up the message and now it randomly restarts.

File a claim with the Better Business Bureau. I had a similar encounter when I sent my Samsung phone in to Plano, TX. They sent it back and refused to honor the warranty. I filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau detailing exactly what happened, and there was a lot of back and forth for a few months, but eventually Samsung said that they would honor the warranty and repair the phone if I sent it in. At that point I was ticked and said that the time for Samsung to repair the phone was when it was first sent it in, and that time had passed. I insisted on a full refund, and the BBB agreed with me. I sent the phone in and got a check from Samsung. Google BBB, file a claim, and never buy another Samsung product.
