It is very unfortunate that I have to write this report, as I have not had this situation occur with any other business.  On August 17th I ordered two bundles of hair from Samyah Hair Boutique, which was $185 and also immediately debited from my account.  After not hearing anything from the company for a few days, I called to find out when the order would be shipped.  The person I spoke to was not very knowlegeable and said it could take anywhere from 7-10 days to just process and another 10 days to ship, but she couldn't provide a timeline - I would just have to wait.  I needed the hair by a certain time and did not anticipate a potential 20 days to receive the product.  I asked if I could pick it up, since their address is in the same general area as where I live.  I was told in order to pick it up I would have to provide them cash, even though they had already withdrew $185 from my account several days before.  This all seemed a little odd (maybe the IRS needs to investigate) to me and I thought it would be best to cancel the order and request a refund before the order was processed.  Even though I was on the phone with a representative, I was told to email my request through the website.  I received an email back saying it takes the bank 3-5 days to process a refund.  I responded back, asking when she would process the refund and received the following response: "you just asked for the refund didn't you".  Several weeks went by and I had not received my refund.  I emailed Samyah several times asking for the status of the refund and received no reply.  Out of the blue, 3 weeks after she agreed to provide me a refund, I inexplicably receive an email that the hair has shipped.  This is a way of Samyah to avoid refunding me my money, by forefully shipping out a product that I do not want and which she agreed to refund me for.  Please do not do business with her.  There are other reputable places that sell hair, that are accomodating and professional.  Based on the fact that she is so desperate for $185, I estimate that she will not be in business too long.
