Satscams deceptive website offers deception itself San Francisco California

This is a website I found on the internet while searching for a deal for a replacement for my dish network receiver. I thought that I had found a reputable place to purchase equipment through since their claim was helping people expose scammers. Unfortunately this is all a cover for a lucrative scheme to sell pirate devices known as free to air or "FTA" satellite receivers.

After registering with the website as a member I was almost immediately contacted by one of the "moderators" to know if I wanted to get all the channels without paying a subscription. I replied back stating all I wanted was a receiver for my Dish network system as Dish network would have charged me double the amount if I went through them.

So I agreed and sent a money order to this guy who assured me that I would be able to use my legitimate access card and call Dish Network to have it activated. After waiting almost 6 weeks for an order that was supposed to be delivered overnight, I finally received a box that had no access card slot and had to have some sort of pirate software downloaded onto it for a monthly fee.

After emailing this guy or whoever, I was told that they do not offer refunds and I know what I was buying from the get go. Further, they said if I pursue this by complaining they would post my home address and my real name on their forums and call me a scammer. Well I just wanted to let people know to not to trust these pirate websites and order only legitimate equipment from the manufacturer or provider.

I also was able to get in touch with some of the so called scammers they have exposed on their site and they told me that they have had threatening calls, job losses, and countless forms of harassment from them. So please beware of these kinds of websites.
