Schneider National Schneider Chicago intermodel dont do it greenbay , Wisconsin

I went to work for schneider national in aug of 2008. at first it seemed like a great company(good benifits, good pay, and even though i had experience doing intermodel they still requiered training(learned things i didnt know))after training i went to work as a reginal driver for there chicago opperation. everything seemed good the dispatchers(dbl) seemed fair and kept me running. aprox. 2 months after starting i recived a phone call from my DBL telling me that i had a call in complaint " your nascar wannabe cut over 3 lanes of traffic and cut me off" the road it suposedly happened on was under construction and was down to 2 lanes. they requiered me to take a road test with someone from there safty department. i figured no big deal.

About 6 months later a friend of mine injured herself opening a trailer door. when she came back to work she was fired "her Youtube videos were unsafe" (trucker47). several other drivers were also fired under "unusual" circimstances. i transfered to local around the same time. as time went on several other drivers were fired.

everyday it was something new everytime i came to work i was being yelled at for something. one day it was because i didnt put a zip tie on the pins(not requiered by DOT) another it was because i wrote up the truck for the air not working in july and the list goes on my dispatcher was looking for reasons to fire me he tried several times but his boss kept reversing it. once i was leaving a rail yard in a 10 year old truck and the tie rod snaped the truck had to be towed back to the yard and the next morning i was informed i was being slaped with a non preventable accident and my dispatcher attempted to fire me.

in aug of 2009 i was given a load i couldnt Pick up on time. i told dispatch and they said they would get back to me. 20min later i arived at the rail yard to get an empty trailer for this load and i recived a message saying dont get the empty your off the load. i waited a fem min for my next move and recived nothing so i called i was instructed to return to the yard to talk with my dispatcher. when i returned to the yard i was told i had a call in complaint and that they were letting me go

I asked about the call in compliant and i was told "driver was going 70mph down Harlem and almost hit a car" i attempted to explain what really happened and that the car i almost hit pulled out of a parking lot to make a left without regard to traffic coming from the south and they almost hit me trying not to get hit by southbound traffic. and then i pointed out how would i have been going 70mph in a truck that only goes a very unsafe 60mph and that there was a cop with a radar gun in a gas station on the oppisite side of the street as the parking lot the other driver came out of. if i was going more then the speed limit i would have recived a ticket. i was told "we dont care get your stuff out of the truck and leave".

A few days later i went to work for JB Hunt. there was 3 of us from schneider 1 of them drove for schneider for 16 years and they said he was reported for driving with a box ontop of the locking pins(container) he was fired with no proof. and i hear from friends at schneider that it is still just as bad. i was told it got so bad that HR from greenbay got involved.

if your thinking about getting into intermodel in chicago look elsewhere schneider might pay the most but at what cost. they can and will screw your dack report and mvr.
