I too have been done wrong, I just filed a ripoff report cause Raines sold me a new trailer 8 months ago without a Title. He does not answer 423-432-1653 or any other of the 4 numbers he has and I have called many times. My County will not acknowlege the bill of sale that was sent with the home and driver and Raines has not communicated back with me in 8 months. I need my Title or money back. Also, Carma is not a joke. We reap what we sow and you have to treat people the way you want to be treated. Good............

melissa has no idea of what she is saying, she runs around with no clue about what she knows at all. you are right stupid, a truck did have a wreck in atlanta. but it was not my truck you moron, it belonged to another transporter from decatur tn that we contracted with to transport a home for us. if you would be so literate to check with the cobb county courthouse or the cobb county dept of enforcement or even the georgia dot. you would be able to read this . but no, you have to grab at everything you can to make me look bad as you have done, well i am dealing with a couple of problems, i have offered to work out solutions to the problem, you and your couple of little "buddies" will have no part of it. you just want to smear someone because you are miserable as h*** about yourself along with everything else.

i will be the first to admit that things have went awful for me in the last year and a half, some of it my fault some of it employees fault and some just plain stupid people like you that thinks they got something or know something when they really do not have a clue....

for anyone who would like to know the truth, we did hire a contractor who showed us an insurance card that was percieved to be valid, driver also told us he had a valid ga annual permit to pull unit. well next thing i know i get a phone call at 5:30 on sunday morning telling me he had a wreck with a vehicle, then i get another phone call from the dot telling me that his insurance card was a fake. and that he was trying to use my paperwork for the house saying he drove for me, well common knowldge tells you when someone has a vehicle with his name on the side of it (bill dixon) and it is registered to said name, and he even gave the registration and fake insurance card to the dot, when if it was my truck he would have had a mountain laurel insurance card with my company name on it, with my listed trucks that i owned all listed as i always have done. he did not, he is only trying to ride my insurance which i did have on all my trucks .

all of this is public knowledge, anyone can read it at the cobb county courthouse, my insurance comapny has hired the firm carlock and copeland to defend me and my company in this matter. i will also be forwarding the above slander for further study. i have had it with this ladies lies.

i will tell you, i have some issues, and i want to fix them. anyone can contact me that i owe to resolve a debt on a sensible time table. i will be glad to work it out if i owe you....but if you want to go to every site you can, and talk lies , well there is no way to stop you, but once i show what a liar you are it kinda gets old.

You are correct in regards to the individuals validating this information before hiring them.
However, in Hector's defense Scott Raines has a USDOT number on his truck and has been know to have a invalid license and insurance information. (Based off of accident) this was his driver that was in an accident at the beginning of the year. (Transporting in the dark and on a Sunday in Raines' Truck).

Also, in Hector's defense, many mobile home transporters normally require some money up front to get started.

The problem here is that the justice system is not strong enough to put them behind bars. For example if you pull up to a gas pump and take a few dollars of gas and not pay. You will find yourself in deep do-do. But if someone takes advantage of people and fraud them of money, it almost takes an act of congress to get justice.
Normally a civil case is recommended, but what does that get you, (headache, more money lost, and judgement against the individual). The money never materializes. I think the best thing for this individual is behind bars.

It is truly a crime to take advantage of people that obvious are not in a financal postion to lose money. And can not afford to hire lawyers.

Any "for hire" motor carrier is required to be DOT licensed and insured. NEVER do business with any carrier without going to the FMCSA website and check the "Carrier Snapshot" section. This will give you license status, insurance information and safety rating.

You need to go to this site and file a complaint against them for the fraud, and also file a police report/complaint for larceny and the bad check. You could also file a small claims suit.

I just can't see why you would wait a year to do something! Furthermore, you NEVER pay anyone ANYTHING up front to do a job. Always make them invest time and money so they have something to lose if they don't get the job done.

Anyone operating instate only needs to have a DOT# clearly displayed on the truck, and must be disclosed upon request. If he is operating over state lines he must have a DOT#, MC#, and IFTA all clearly displayed on the vehicle.
