tampa bay and surrounding areas beware Ben Franklin and one Hour Air over charges customers by up to three times what an average consumer should pay!

I have been in meetings with there staff where they bragged about lying to homeowners that there ac units were broken, but they were not. they sell a/c units to people who don't need them.

When they cause damage to customers homes the owner scott vigue has told me on several occasions not to fix the house correctly and to do the "bare minimun" to cover up damage and that he didnt give a s**t about what the customer thought as long as he gets paid.

after reviewing invoices from Ben franklin and one hour air even with the so called friends and family discount they are still 30% higher on services then there competition and all bay area consumers should be cautious and obtain estimates before using this company if your a/c is broken do not use one hour air they tried to tell me a 18 seer a/c unit for my house would run 20k i bought the same seer rating unit with another company cornerstone air for 7k and all new manufacture warrenties have a 10year all parts and labor shop around dont get scammed by this company!

rip-off scammers

"On Time or it dos'nt cost you a dime" BALONEY!! appt set for 9am-1pm, they call at 12:55p and said tech would be on ...the way. I said that appt was set between 9a-1p so the service is free..Right? "We have you down in our system for 1-5p, So you will have to talk to the Tech about that"

 Tech arrived hooked his gauges up to outside unit turned sysytem on & immediately remarked "oh-oh your compressor is no good' then telling me my unit not worth repair, the rest of the time was spent trying to sell me a new sysytem that we can finance.

The coup de grâce is when they hit you with the price of new unit, $8500.00 for a basic 4ton 14 seer unit  which after some reserch online I estimate is over double the normal retail price.  Tech could not leave written estimate as 'others have copied in past' but will email one. (never recieved).

Putting down other local Techs & Service companys appears to be  part of thier sales script and not very professional.

 After a distressing evening caused by this event the next morning I got a second opinion from one on those 'less desireable' local Techs who after a thorough inspection of my existing system  found lose wire on compressor FIXED..COST $167.00.  I will avoid Scotts OneHour like the Plague!!

good try trying to blame tecnology for your incompetence but kenny and scott your both liers and thieves and i use the word thief because you stole services from me for your mistakes and never paid and i want to clear the air. I FILED A LAW SUIT AGAINST YOU!!! Scott vigue but your ego once again gets in the way and i am sticking to my original story which is you overcharge home owners and dont pay your vendors its a fact! i hope everyone who reads this uses a different company because its way cheaper good luck in court THIEF!!!!

gotta tell ya thats the cowards way out scott. and you ae a coward, i know you personaly. ive been in the hvac trade for 23 years and have heard nothing but horror stories about your one hour company. im even ashamed to say im in the same field you are. makes me feel cheap, like a used car salesman.  it you and companies like yours that prey upon the weak, elderly, and scared consumer thats hurts us all. one day youll pay for your crimes. soon i hope!

False Allegations

Unfortunately with todays technology any one can write anything wheather or not it is true or false. This information about my company is completely false and the truth of the matter is that we currently have a law suit against Dry Wizard for several bills they have not paid. We terminated this vendor from our company because of complaints from our customers about his lack of professionalism and running insurance scams against them.

Unfortunately you can make all sorts of allegations on the internet and there is no re-course about these type of people. I have never met personally with this person or had any such meetings, he is merely a terminated vendor of ours. At Benjamin Franklin Plumbing & Scott's One Hour Air we like to work with companies that have the samne standards of professionalism and customer service as we do. Dry Wizard does not meet those standards and we will not send them into our customers homes anymore. This person deserves no more commentation. You don't stay in business for over 23 years and have over 90,000 customers treating people the way these accusations say.
