On June 1st, 2010 I took my Sienna Van in for an oil change and a brake evaluation.   There was a thumbing noise in the back of the van.  I was told that I needed new wheel cylinders.  The work was done costing $ 264.63. 

On June 14, 2010 return with the van; the noise was worse, brake repair was done under warranty.
On June 23rd, 2010, noise has returned, but much worse.  At this time I was told I also needed new brake drums and brake shoes.  This work was done which wasn't covered under the brake warranty, so I was charged 192.62.
On June 28th, 2010 returned the van with the same problem.  Sears worked on the brakes again to no avail.  I requested that I receive a refund for work done, but manager refused.
On July 7th, 2010 The problem still existed.  Sears agreed to put new wheel cylinders, brake pads and brake shoes under the warranty. Picked up car on July 8, 2010.  

September 7th, 2010  Called Sears to tell them I am having the same problem.  I requested a refund.  Jon Rose said he would have the manager call me... waited 3 hours, I then called and was told he was in a meeting.  Jenny called me back and said I had to take the van to the dealer to determine what was wrong...I said that Sears did the brake evaluation and the work on the first visit.

what is a thumbing noise???--you mean thumping??---try a new hardware kit!!!!---also--you do not replace wheel cylinders for noise--you replace them for leaks and usually if they are leaking the shoes may be bad--it seems they put on all new parts but did not put on new hardware for these parts
