Called the optical store for price packages. Received a price of 149.99 which included exam a fram under 100.00 and this lens-did not cover anti glare or any other extras.

Called store to see if accepted Mamsi insurance for exam -they said they did and it would =additional discount to package. Was informed any frame over 100.00 would have to pay the difference after subtracting 100.00
Went to store-exam was 48.00-they did not take Mamsi-Oh well they did in the form of a 5.00 discount and 35% off your frames and lens.

Found frames for 179.00 should have paid 79.00 and no exam fee right?-No told me with 35% off the price was 278.00 with a package discount 289.00 plus eye exam. I had told them I did not want their frame warranty, bifocals or any other extras. They held to that price forced us to pay for the exam we would never have paid for (Old equipment wanted the new computer test but this was free right?)

We left, I was so upset after having taken off work and my daughter going out of her way and changing her plans. I called them back and they told me yet another story-Bottom line they admitted they put in a 100.00 warranty I specifcally said I did not want. Then they offered to take if off after they had lied to me, lied to my daughter, tried to cheat us and basically broke the law. There were many more damages but do not need repeating in this venue

First of all, I would like to say that you formatted your complaint much like a 10 year old.

Did you contact your so called insurance and asked for a provider list? If you didn't do that first, then the jokes on you pal. Your insurance doesn't sound like insurance, but more like a discount plan to me. There are over 4000 discount plans that cannot be combined with any other insurance or advertised price. After doing some careful research you would have found out that your "insurance" is whats called a "schedule G". This give you 5 buck off a regular exam, 10 bucks off a CL exam, 35% off frames over 101 dollars, and a specific precentage off of lenses.
Hey, did you know that the Optometrist is a seperate entity from the optical shop? Therefore the shop could have taken your insurance, and the doctor could not have! Therefore what they told you was true...they DID take your insurance.
It is up to the consumer to do their homework when it comes to insurance. We're not going to do it for you. What we ARE going to do is try to separate you from your money. Thats our job. Nobody twisted your arm to buy the glasses. If you felt that you were getting the shaft, do not make the purchase.
