Securus correctional facility I activated an account with them in order for my son to call me. He was moved and my money was forfeited. Texas Nationwide

My son was incarcerated in 9-2015 I called securus correctional and opened an account in order to speak to my son no calls were made by my son he was moved to another facility and he is trying to call me but the calls don't go through I called them and they stated that the policy is the money gets forfeited after 90 days just in case I lost my phone and somebody else uses the money I told the rep Natalie what was the difference I still lost my money she said there was nothing she can do.  I told the Rep Natalie I never knew the policy why was the policy never sent to me she ignored my question and asked me how much I was going to put on the account I told her nothing I don't have money to give away.  Is this possible that this company can take your money without the services being used let me know if there is anything I can do.  It's not the money is the feeling of being ripped off..
