The worst new car buying experience since 1996. I drove one hour to SERRA Chevrolet after looking at the website of the said dealership on August, 13, 2013. Reached the dealership at 12:30 pm and waited till 4:00 pm to get the price on the truck that was ffered by the sales manager Craig Curlette. Before giving me the "OTD"(out the door) price, I was asked the question "Are you going to buy the truck today" for at least nine times and by three different individuals.

The truck was finalized for purchase with the option I wanted. The manager told me to give him $ 1000.00 deposit towards the purchase. I wrote him a check for the said amount, NO receipt of any sort or paperwork was given to me for the said purchase. But was promised by the sales manager that the truck will be there the next day.

Called the dealership next day after they failed to contact me. To my surprise both the sales person and the sales manager Craig had a day off and nobody in the dealership had a clue as to what was going on with my purchase. But finally got a call back from Marcell saying that the truck will be here the next day as per his conversation with Craig over the phone, all this was on August 14, 2013.

On August 15, 2013 did not hear anything from the dealership, so I once again drove one hour to the dealership to find out, what was going on. Come to find out from Craig that the said truck, on which I had put $ 1000.00 deposit was not even assured to be there after three days. Actually Craig was trying to sell me another DEMO truck for $ 3000 more than the price we agreed upon. Alao was told that he is going to call me in one hour, that was flat out LIE.     For this entire time I was told by the sales manager, Craig that he would call me for at least five times and I am yet to get a call from him. From the word get go, I had done everything that I was told by Craig but he came out to be the biggest LIAR in my new car buying experience over last 16 years.

Finally after two hours I heard from the sales person, telling me to come and pick up my check. When I went to pick up my check irritated by this entire experience, I did have some words to tell the person returning my check and wasting three days and two trips to the dealership. I was surprised to hear from Courtney Jackson, who happens to sit in Craig's office all the time, Mr. Jacson tried to intimidate me. By far the Best Group of LIARS.

So much for the deposit, Days wasted and the two one hour trips to Serra Chevrolet. If you have done your home-work before going to this perticular dealership you Will be taken for a ride.

 As much as I hate to admit dealing with or remember Haresh, I do. The customers came in and were very hateful and agressive towards my salesman. They were demanding and demeaning to one of my guys who is new in the business. I assured him that it was the nature of these people and not to take it personally because they just did not know how to communicate in a normal tone and that regular customers who are easy to deal with will be on the horizon. First they came in lying about a deal they received at another dealer.

Clearly we did not have the truck they wanted in inventory as they were very demanding about color and equipment. Then they produced an invoice to a truck that was inferior to the one we had located and expected us to beat the deal. I explained that I would not beat the deal because they were looking at less truck and in addition it was the wrong color. I wanted them to commit to a truck so I could make arrangements to get the truck they wanted. In reality another manager was arranging the transfer I was just assisting my salesman in working the numbers. I priced the truck at $400 over my cost which was more than fair for the truck and took the deposit.

JUST FOR THE RECORD>>>>>WE ARE AT THE MERCY OF OTHER DEALERS WHEN TRANFERRING IN A VEHICLE. WE CANNOT MAKE THEM MOVE FASTER THAN THEY WANT TO. In the end, the other dealer was unwiliing to let us have the truck so e suggested another truck that we had in stock. We priced it at our dead cost and offered it to them in part to compensate them for their inconvenience  but then they refused and made an offer that would have us losing $3000...No Thanks!

Haresh doesn't understand how things work obviously and is very ignorant of the automotive culture. If you are a car dealer and this person comes up and tries to bully your slaespeople, run them off your lot.

In 27 years in the car business I can count on one hand the number of complaints there have been against me. I am a reasonable, Christian man and harbor no ill will against Haresh but indeed I am mystified how an adult can act as she and he did.

I am certain in the future they will buy other vehicles but am thankful not from me. They both truly need to get a grasp of how things work and they cannot go into a place of business and act out like they did.

As far as the aids comment, I don't understand it nor will I particularly address it. The comment, just as they are, are inconsequential to my life.
