I found the Servelegalpapers.com online. It is always the first name you find when Google for this type of service in San Diego.
I chose them because of the small fee, $30 unlimited attempts.
I sent the papers at the same day we talked on the phone, July 20.  At August 3 I remembered that at this time I should have the papers back to send to the court.
I called Mr. Esber and he told me that the building he would be serving was empty.

We had a brief discussion about the new fee he wanted charge me for the new deliver, he said he would keep my papers until I had the new address, I said I wasn't interested anymore so he hung up the phone on me.
I checked his web page and saw that it really had a second fee for new addresses I called Mr Esber for the second time and he did not answer the phone. I called almost for one hour straight to try and ask him to give me my papers back and also to question him when he tried to deliver the papers and why he never told me the building was empty. It went to the voice mail in all the attempts.

I decided to drive to his address. I left him a voice message saying I was going to his office. He called me in 5 minutes saying, almost screaming, actually, that the papers would be mailed back to me next day and I should not call him again.
I arrived at the address and found out that it was a Postal Annex, where Mr Esber rents a PO Box.
I called him again and left another message. He did not return. I kept calling him until a woman answered it saying she was a police officer and I was harassing  him.

I said I had contacted my lawyer already but I wanted to know when he tried to serve. She transferred the phone to him, who said he tried to serve on July 23. and then hung up on me again.
I am not saying that Mr Esber didn't do his job. He tried to serve a person and the building was empty. I understand also that he has the right to charge for a new address. My complain is that He never let me know what happened. I trusted him. I expected more respect and consideration.
