I was contacted by Shanda Harper in November about completing a blog writing content. Since I'd previously sold content through her site, DailyArticle.com, I did not hesitate to accept the work. Initially, I was paid after several email reminders, but after being contracted to write additional content correspondence slowed and once the last of the work was completed Shanda disappeared.

I sent several emails and invoices for the remaining balance and never received a response. Shanda's site, DailyArticle.com, received an upgrade recently so I am assuming she is online, actively writing, and choosing not to pay a fellow writer for services rendered. I could be wrong, but it seems as though Shanda Harper has chosen to profit by taking advantage of a writer.

Writers who are thinking about selling their articles on DailyArticle.com or considering signing up for MyBlogWriter.com should be careful. If she has found that it is profitable to avoid paying one writer, she will probably do it to another writer in the near future. Please learn from my experience, and avoid putting yourself in a situation where you are not paid for your hard work.

Also, website owners who are thinking about purchasing content from GetContent.com and GoCopywriting.com should think about the implications of doing business with a woman who does not always pay writers. I am currently being forced to monitor the use of the content I submitted, but was not paid for.

Using an article without owning the full copyrights (transferred upon purchase) can cause problems which no website owner wants. If Shanda Harper does not pay for the content she is later selling, she has no right to transfer the copyright to a third party.

Paid After Advised of Copyright and Non-Payment Reporting

AUTHOR: Content Writer404 - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 28, 2010

After I let Shanda Harper know she would be reported for non-payment and that I would be using the unpaid for content myself she contacted me to let me know payment would be sent immediately. No apology was made for the delay, in fact she felt that I was being "impatient" since I decided to take action when it was blatantly obvious she was ignoring me and not sending payment.

The next day, I received payment for the completed work.

I am extremely happy to be done with this situation and advise any writer who does business with her in the future to be cautious.
