Shayna at first was very responsive during the interview and proposal process. Once paid to hire... her responses were few and far between. She provided zero design layouts and one poorly designed mock page that needed several changes. When changes were requested by me no response nor changes were received. When attempted to cancel job she then proclaimed she had finished 80% of the job which was not traceable through her system, no approvals had ever been given and no content of any new designs had been provided despite her claiming almost complete. Once cancel process was started she said she would refund 50% but has since responded or provided the refund. BEWARE. Her work ethic is terrible, so are her designs and communication!

Evidence of work relationship with client

The information provided in this report by Kris is highly inacurrate. We had a great work relationship and communicated through the Basecamp project management system.  It was only when she disapeared for a week that the relationship did not work anymore.  It took me calling her and emailing her multiple times as well as the customer service team at Upwork reaching out to her, for her to finally respond.  When she finally responded, she asked for her money back and said she was going to build the website herself.

She was not provided a refund of her deposit (50% of the total estimate) because both graphic design and development work had already been completed.  Evidence of the work is attached as well as online at: pinkchip.studio7hq.com

The information provided in this ripoff report is inacurate and missing many details which I will proved below.

Kris contracted with me through Upwork.com.  This website has a stellar system in place to keep both paying clients and freelancers working together in an ethical manner.  

I provided the client with a new logo design and website design per the terms of our contract which are all shown below.  After seeing the work I completed for her, she stopped responding to my messages and I had to reach out to Upwork because I could not get a hold of the client.  After about a week she responded and said she had decided to do the work herself and asked for her money back.  I explained to her that I had already completed 80% of the work and she actually owed an installment payment at the time of cancellation.  She insisted that I pay her the money and had my Upwork account frozen and filed a dispute.  I was forced to agree to pay her because her dispute froze my entire account and I was not able to receive work or payment from several other freelance clients.k

Although, it took some time we went through the mediation process with Upwork and they ruled in my favor and I did not have to provide the refund because work was clearly performed for this client.
