Sherri McLean Horse Lover Scammed by Horse Abuser Ottawa Ontario

I am an 18 year old girl, I bought my first and only horse in 2006 named Nelson. I had Nelson up until this past November 2008 when I had to sell him due to the fact that I couldnt afford to pay for his boarding costs any longer.

I put up 'for sale' ads on a number of websites to notify loving horse buyers. A woman named Sherri McLean contacted me by email and said that she was looking for a nice quiet horse for her bestfriends young teenager named Aleesha Amme. She told me all about Aleesha and what she was going to do with Nelson and how he will always be loved and cared for. We emailed eachother for a few weeks until finally I had to sell him to her because I had no other offers and no more money to pay for his board.

When Sherri came to see Nelson she was sweet and soft spoken and very gentle with Nelson. I saw what anyone would see..a horse lover and a nice home for my one and only horse. She took Nelson home for $350. I had asked her to let me visit Nelson once a month in exchange for his brushes, medicines and blankets, but never got it in writting. She agreed and with a sweet smile took Nelson home.

Little did I know it would be a horrible home for Nelson. Just last week a woman named Lainie Fairweather contacted me and said that she 'rescued Nelson'. I thought to myself, "rescued? is he ok? is he hurt?" I called her back right away and found out that she saw Nelson on a website (using the pictures that I posted him with, NEVER asking for permission to use them) and he looked great so she sent her sister out to see him.

When her sister got there Nelson did NOT look like the same horse. He was 350 pounds UNDER weight. 350 POUNDS!!!!! His right eye was 3 times the size its supposed to be with puss and heat coming from it. Lainie owns a horse rescue ranch (thank God) and took Nelson home for $800. This cruel woman, Sherri, made $450 profit off of Nelson after letting him starve and suffer.

Nelson is now home safe with Lainie and Sherri McLean continues to buy, starve and sell horses. She scammed me into thinking she has this amazing place for Nelson, making up people and all. Justice needs to be brought to me. She made my horse suffer and now has to pay somehow and some way!
