Shoppers Advantage Watch your credit card for $89.99 or $99.99 charges RIPOFF Trumbull Connecticut

Received postcard in the mail advising to call Shopper Advantage to cancel existing membership or card would be charged $89.99 for another years membership.(?)
Calling the 800 number a Karen answered and informed me what they were doing was legal. They had an agreement with my credit card company to promote this way. She maintained a check for $2.50 had been sent to me and cashed. The made it legal for them to use my credit card number to charge the $89.99 membership.

I checked with my wife and she has never cashed a check from them.

I called Bank One Credit card number. I was informed by a Jeramy that they had an agreement with Shoppers Advantage and would charge my credit card for the membership fee. I have never used Shoppers Advantage and they would have no way of obtaining my credit card number except through Bank One.

Even tho I was not taken in by these rip off artists. I was sure it would be easy to slip this by a lot of people.
