SHOPPERS CHOICE AWARD, INC. CHECK FRAUD WOODBRIDGE Ontario

I received a letter from "Shoppers Choice Award, Inc." appeared to be a letter letting me know I won a sweepstakes of $50,000

Enclosed with this letter was a check for $3,950. The body of the letter explained $2,950 would have to be mailed for taxes and a number to call to help process through a tax agent.

I called the number on the letter and talked to an "Andrea Martins" 647-834-9024 and was given instructions on where to mail the money gram. Once I did that I was to call back with the reference number. Once that was done, she would notify Fedex to deliver my $50,000 winnings.

Upon western union mailing the money, I called and she asked when a good time to call back would be to confirm the Fedex. I said later that day would be fine. She said someone would call later that day or the following morining. The next call was from 416-856-5771 Stacy Richards saying Adrea Martins forgot to tell me about the State tax of $825. Stacy was very rude and demanded I send that to get this done. I knew it was fraudulent once she was involved. I called my bank and they had the check as a -3,950 in my account now as return to maker!

My credit is not good enough for a $4k unsecured loan to cover this balance! I have been forced to close my bank account due to this debt! This is cruel and I hope this scamsters get caught and some of us can hopefully regain some of our monetary losses!
