Silver State Holding tells you that you are getting a grant & you have to pay the grant writers big money & you never get the grant Las Vegas, Nevada

We own a small family owned & operated business and we recently fell victim to a scam.  Silver State Holding called and said they could get us a grant, but it would cost us $3,750 to start the paper work and then another $3,750 after we get the grant.  So I called the BBB and they said they were a ligiate company and they had a B rating.

Long story short we paid the $3,750 and then a month later they called and said we were approved for our grant of $350,000 and we will get our check in 30-90 days but we needed to pay the grant writers $4,600 to write out our business plan & the grant paper work.  Well 90 days comes along and no check so I called SIlver State and every number I have for them is disconnected.  I got online and started google them and found out that they were traid Oct. 13, 2010 for grant fraud.

We are out $8,650.00 that we did not have in the first place.  I should have done more extensive research but I figured calling the BBB they would have been able to tell me if they were a scam.  I am in the process of trying to get ahold of banks, the FBI in Las Vegas and the BBB.

If there is anyone else who has fell victim to this scam can you let me know if you were able to get your money back.
