Mr. Simon Ham has been running a scam and fraud business in Mississauga for the last ten years ripping of the money new immigrants bring to Canada for an investment. He makes false promises and lies about vending business and huge profits that these machines will generate as a side business for new immigrants and residents of Canada. He is very cunning and deceptive person. He makes false promises of employment to prospective clients that are in search of jobs. He charges 10,000 dollars for a vending machine that he buys from the states for a couple of thousand dollars and he tells his clients that he manufactures them himself in Canada. He uses all types of company names on his machines and operates with several names, most of them are not registered with the government at all. He has been abusing the Canadian laws for years. He advertises his business product in Toronto newspapers which says: Vending machine great opportunity: small investment, huge profit and great locations. All these things are fake and lies. He has been protecting his scam business under the Canadian law and he constantly lies and evades the criminal justice system of Canada. He hires individuals with foreign national origin and train them how to lie and cheat new immigrants and pays them very little money to run his scam business. People who have lost money must file an indidvidual or class action lawsuit to bring this cunning man to justice. They must file lawsuit against him and his business companies that are all fake. I would say he has scammed hundreds of thousands of dollars (may be millions) from the ordinery citizens of Canada and continues to do so under new business names and new locations. This cunning and deceptive man with his fraugulent sammy business finds new victims every day and through a well written, lengthy contract he protects himself and his business from any lawsuit. Once his fraud is discovered by a client, he fires the person (his employee) who had signed the contract so there would not be any trace of his scam. He never signs any document or never gaurantees his business package. He gives a very rosy, nice and promising presentation about the profits his vending machines will generate thus tempting a client to sign a contract. Everything he does is in a halo and ambiguities and clouds. Simon Ham's name and business are not registered in the phone books or with the Ontario Department of Commerce or in Corporate records. Nobody knows where he lives or his cell phone is. Once a client signs a contract and pays off everything, he disappears from the scene and he no longer accessible. He must have graduated from the most cunning and scammy institute in the world.

My advice: stay away from him and people like him and those already lost their money find a good lawyer and file a fraud lawsuit against him before it is too late. Canada must be purged of scammers.

Starz1 former Semi-Tech Telecom owners a bunch of ciminals with no mercy and morality

AUTHOR: MM - (Canada)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 17, 2009

I am a former employee of Semi-Tech Telecom now operating under Starz1 in Mississauge. I know Mr. Simon Ham more than anyone else. He sold me a pay phone for a price of 5000 dollars which in fact worth not more than several hundred dollars. I worked for him for several years. He has no moral values and is not a man a family. He had a relatioship with one of the girls who worked as a salesperson there during the same period I was there. She was actually his girl friend. Her name was SM. He underpaid and exploited his staff. He trained us how to lie and trap new immigrants and honest people who wanted to have a safe and secure small business. He imported the phone card vending machines from the States and he asked us to tell prospective clients that Star Tech another bogus unregistered company manufactures them in Canada. He knows how to use and abuse the Canadian corporate laws in his own favor. He had no respect for labor laws and job insurance. He treated his staff like a piece of trash like those in his own homeland South Korea. He would not even pay taxes to the government of Canada. All he did was to make up some bogus figures and report them to Canada Revenue Agency as truth. He paid me 1000 dollars a month and I used my own car for long distance travel and sales and installment of machines. He forced us to sign a contract that we as staff would not get into the same business and would not talk about his business conduct several years after we leave his company. This man is a crook and big charlatan who knows how to violate the laws and scam money from new immigrants without leaving any trace. I hope one day the Ontario government will find him guilty of purgery and dishonest conduct and misrepresentation and put him in the jail. We knew none of the phone card machines present at various locations he was referring to were making any significant sales. The competition in phone card business in greater Toronto area is very tight and it is taken by Chinese and Koreans. So the chances of success in this area is extremely low. Yet we had to lie to the prospective clients that it is the opposite. He would never sign any contract with clients. He used our names for signing contracts or selling machines in Toronto fairs. He charges 10,000 dollars for a business packge which is nothing but selling a machine worth a couple of thousand dollars. I hope my exposition of Mr. Ham's true nature would shed some lights on this man who has been getting away from justice for years.

Simon Ham lied to the government of Canada

AUTHOR: MM - (Canada)

POSTED: Wednesday, February 11, 2009

On Feb. 28, 2008, Simon Ham the owner of Semi-Tech Telecom co dissolved his company by lieing to the government of Canada that his company has no record of court pending cases. During that time several lawsuits were being filed against him and his bogus company and cases were being investigated by the courts across The Greater Toronto. After dissolving his bogus vending company he moved his Z Telecom company to 5694 Ambler Drive in Mississauga, Ontario under the new name Starz1. This company is not registered with the government of Ontario and is illegal. However, the government does not care about the legality of these bogus fraud companies. All that matter to the government is to collect taxes from them that in fact come from the pockets of poor new immigrants. Mr. Simon Ham is now operating his illegal business under a new name and is on a look for new victims. He hires naive and unemployed individuals from different ethnic groups in Toronto to deceive and scam new clients. Mr. Ham must be behind bars and Toronto must be purged of scammers and thieves like him.

Starz1 Rebuttal

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (Canada)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 07, 2009

27 years is a long time to be in business. Any company operating for that length of time will have it's fair share of issues to deal with along the way. Starz1 has had a long standing reputation and dependable name in the vending industry across not only Ontario but across Canada. From National Trade shows to local events, traveling from Montreal to Calgary or Vancouver etc, Starz1 is a respected company. More over, people that know Mr. Ham whether it be ina personal nature or business nature, have a great deal of respect for him. This is particularily prevalent in the vending industry.

Unfortunately, the company cannot let one persons opinion ruin a reputation that has been built over 27 years, Companies deal with disgruntled employee's regularly, and unfortunately the individual that assumed the role in preparing the original article about Simon Ham on this site, was only employed for approximately two and a half weeks. Further, readers should know that he has also caused a similar problem in another company he was affiliated with. It's a shame but there really is nothing we can do, but to encourage people to ask questions and drop by to see the substantial operation starz1 has.

Starz1 as a company is in the business of assisting people to get started ina home besed business that allows them to generate monthly income. Like any business, there are people that succeed and there are people that do not. This does not mean however, that the company has not provided these individuals with the proper guidance or direction required to make their business a success. Personally I know many of our clients that have had a long standing relationship with Mr. Ham, and have done so through their repeat business. This indicates that the company does in fact have successful clients that are more than satisfied with the results of their business.

Further, Starz1 has a substantial employee base and during 2008 had relocated to accomodate a larger inventory of products and the space to facilitate the growth. We encourage everyone that has a concern, to discuss them openly with us, or drop by and see our new facility and sample our products.

Offensive Material about a Company sheds a Poor light on all invloved! Disgruntled Empolyees are not Impartail-Very One Sided

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (Canada)

POSTED: Monday, December 29, 2008

As a business owner myself, I know first hand the true experience of owning/operating a business. Recenlty, I was fortunate enough to sell my business and was able to search for gainful employment. Having said that, I personally have been aquainted with Mr. Ham for over ten years. I have know him to be courteous, compassionate individual with strong ethics and morals. A terrific family man.
I was approached my Mr. Ham and was offered a position in his company.
Althoug he is a shrewd business man, he is not a crook, nor does he conduct business in a way that would be construed as inappropriate by any means. The fact of the matter is the gentleman that wrote this information about Mr. Ham, is simply a disgruntled emplolyee, that was subsequenlty fired for not performing what was asked of him in the short time he was employed. Hence then word short.
Personally,I take offense to his accusations, and definition of how Mr. Ham conducts himself with clients. I know for fact that Mr. Ham has some wonderful relationships with his current and past clients.
I am speaking on behalf of my collegues as well. This sheds a poor light on all of us, and although he directs it towards one individual, he inadvertantly impacts the enitre team.
I opperated a very large franchise. It was like a Kelsey's but I wont mention the name. It cost me close to one million. In the end I lost all of my money. The business failed but I was lucky to sell before going bankrupt. My point is simple. Nobody twisted my arm to invest my money. It was a risk, and I was willing to take it. In the end it didn't work out. The same can be said about anyone that has so called had a bad experience in business and in this business. I as well as my colleuges take pride in doing the best we can to help assist people reach and achive thier goals and asprations. It's offensive for this guy to suggest we rip people off. More impratanly, we operate in a professional facitily, and opereate only in Canada. We do not exclusivley cater to specific ethnic groups, but we do attract that majority of clientelle. Mr. Ham more importantly does not attend the office everyday and really has taken a step back in the day to day operations. Personally this guy has a grudge, and I feel that this site is very one sided and that there should be some recourse. This is like defimation of character but with a company instead. I am hoping someone that reads this will have some faith in discussing ths openly with us. We certainly have no problem talking about it.
