I found this job through a staffing service. I was called for a interview that day, and was hired and trained all in the same day.

For a few hours we were drilled this script to read, then threw on the phones to figure it out. We are calling ALL brides who entered for a free trip at a Bridal fair. They do not pick one or two, we call them all, and there in with some company when they sign up for magazines or anythin like that, This company gets your number from them.. We have to tell them a friend signed then up for this package.

We tell them they were choose, but in fact everyone is called with the same script. They are the most unorganized place I have ever worked at, the only reason I took it because I have been looking for a job and this was the first to come up.

I hate it, and I'm looking for something eles. The 2 male managers in this call center are so interested in all of the little 18 year old girls that work there, that there not doing there job!!!

You ask a question they have a attitude because they have to stop flirting with the young girls. We get sent home almost everynight early, which we are lucky to get 20 hrs a week. I think this is why they have so many 18, 19 year olds working there.

We never get a break, they do give a lunch if they think you will be there 6 hrs, they usually give you your lunch 1 to 2 hours after you there. Then you must sit there 3-4 hrs without a break, O and did I forget that you must also call these managers to ask to go to the bathroom. God help you if you interept them from flirting agian.

Yesterday were required to learn a new script to call people to have a salesperson which they call a cheif to come to there house to cook and wash dishes THey are hoping you buy like 2000 dollars in this over priced cookwear.

This is a joke and I hate to work at this place everyday, I pray something true and real comes up soon. THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!

I can't say I would complain about the managers. I didn't have serious issues out of any of them.. When I worked there I was working over 40 hours a week in the office and then I was traveling on weekends to help at the shows. I also did some data entry into the system. I enjoyed working for the company for the most part. I liked days much better than evenings. The owner of the company had a teenage family member that worked there along with all her friends. They were loud and usually unruly. They would come and go as they please.. arrive at work very late.. take multiple long breaks.. and constantly leave early. They would have attitudes with other employees and never seemed to be reprimanded for their actions. They did seem to feel they owned the office because the worst one of all was a relative of the owner. That was my biggest complaint working there. Its not a secret that there are no real winners of the free honeymoon.. everyone who fills out a card at the bridal show is called. I cant say one way or another if the trips are legit as I never worked on that end of things. During bridal season work is plentiful but during the off season I was begging for hours just to reach 15 or 20 a week. I had to leave because I could not pay my bills during the off season. Those hours are okay for a teen but I was 22 at the time with rent and bills to pay.

Because of your report and some others I have seen on other websites I am steering clear of this company. I never signed up or entered to win anything but my number was "found" by them. I am getting married and would love to look at cookwear but not 2000.00 cookwear that I have heard horrible things about! I read on a website that because of the demo some poor womans frying pan was ruined. I was pressured into making an appointment and then did my research and IMMEDIATELY canceled my appointment with them. Maybe if you had 200 dollar cookwear I would consider this. I am so sorry you have to work some where like this! I know times are tough and I hope the staffing agency found you another job! Bless your heart!

I'd like to address several points in this complaint.

First, Simplicity Gourmet/Pink Apron Preview has an excellent record with regard to how we treat employees. That being said, we take complaints like this seriously, and we are going to address these complaints before they become problems.

We will be meeting with the Staffing agent to address any employee complaints he may have as to work hours and breaks.

We do have an employee handbook and policies regarding sexual harrassment and employee conduct. We have meeting scheduled for this week to reinforce those messages.

We were recently used as a good example by the Middle Tennessee Better Business Bureau in front of over 90 businesses as the most well run telemarketing and direct sales business in the entire area.

As for Pink Apron Previews, we have great product and this is our business model. We do call people on the phone. We present our product without high pressure sales tactics. Many couples have used and been happy with the trips that we offer. We constantly work with the vendors of these trips to make sure that the couples have a wonderful experience. While they are on their trip, they do not have to go to any presentations.

Our business depends on the quality of our product and our customer service. We strive to make the new couples' experiences with our company wonderful. When there are problems, we do our best to solve them.
