 A simple search of louisville Better Business Burea will give you the information needed to determine exactly what kind of person Jake Blanton is and the practices of sky shield. Just reading the 13 complaints filed and other complaints from people will leave you scratching your head how this guy is still in business.

Also, a simple search of indiana and kentucky court records will show lawsuits filed by vendors, employees,  Mr. Blanton has taken our down payment, and many others and has failed to complete the jobs or return any deposits given.

It appears  his response with credibility and the other consumer comments have pretty well summed up Mr. Blantons reputation and business practices.

More of his disgruntled and swindled customers need  to speak up and put a stop to his business practices

 I would like to voice my experience with Skyshield Roofing and let you decide a ripoff or not.

After a hail storm damaged my roof I noticed Skyshield Roofing advertiseing on a local tv station and decided to give them a call. The salesman was very professional and worked with my insurance company to file my claim. I finally signed a contract on 12/29/15 and was very satisfied. Rob was the Salesman.

When I finally got the initial insurance claim check for $8200. The salesman was very persuasive for me to give the whole check to him and against my better judgement on 3-11-15 I gave it to  him. I know this was stupid but I really trusted him. Never trust a man named Rob.

After he had the check he never returned my phone calls so I hunted their office down in April and one of Jake's associates told me Rob had been let go and that I was on the schedule for the first week in May. As the months went by they kept telling me I was on the schedule but the weather had been bad and had them way behind.

As I waited and waited and kept hearing story after story. my insurance man called me on 7/8/15 asking about my roof and that Skyshield submitted a claim for him to release the extra money and told him the roof was finished. I told him they had not even delivered any shingles yet.

That same day I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and on 7/9/15 Skyshield called and said shingles were being delivered to my home. I was surprised that they only delivered 1/3 of the shingles to do the job but at least they were getting started. On 7/16 the roofers showed up and roofed my attached garage and said they had no more shingles do any more.

The last time I spoke with them they told me the shingles were to be delivered 7/30/15 but they never showed. I spoke with the one assigned my roof that same day and he said he'd check on it and call me back. He never did and now they will not return my calls at all. All I get is a machine to talk to. They used to tell me lies. I guess they ran out of them.

The BBB sent me a response closing my complaint due to the fact that no one ever responded to them from Skyshield. Guess I got a $3000 roof job for $8200.  Just hoping now the law can help.

 This post is not written by a "Cody" as it claims, the only employee who has had the name Cody still works for Skyshield and has without issue for 18 months now, This post is written by a gentlemen named Mike Sears. Mike Sears was terminated from Skyshield. Since his termination there is an active police investigation in: company property that was stolen, petty cash that was stolen and illegal practices done by this gentlemen. If you hear from this gentlemen . He has filed fake BBB reports acting as clients and other employees just as this post. He has been following our employees and customers. He is selling jobs and collecting money for projects that Skyshield has no awareness of - acting as an employee using marketing materials he stole from the company on his departure. He has filed fake reports on our company that we taking on head strong as we deal with his continuous mischevious behavior. He has a non-compete and confidentiality agreement he chooses to ignore and is now also working for competitors. He is attempting to steal our business model and damage our company to exceed in doing so. Mike Sears lives and works from a green van. The van has a license plate that he removed from another vehicle and put on the one he uses. Please remove the post about our company. This simply gives his gentlemen more credibility and damages the company that supports families and is doing honest business. Feel free to contact any of our employees and they will share how great of a company we are. How we truly care for our customers and the services we provide. How everyone is working together to grow a business and their careers. This gentlemen that posted this is simply a scam artist.
