I recently sold a meticously maintained 01 FLHR with 12,000 miles to a guy who took the bike to this stealership for state inspection. 2000.00 dollars later he got a inspection sticker! The Harley dunlop tires that were on the bike had 1900 miles on them but would not pass PA inspection! The bike supposedly had a rocker box leaking for a tune of around 400$ Needed rear brakes and was charged the whole amount to replace rear brakes even though the wheels were already off to get new overpriced tires and the stealership had enough gonads to charge 50.00 each to install the tires!
I have always been a long time HD fanatic but these stealerships are just out of control. This particular bike was always maintained at Black Widow Harley of Port Charlotte FL with a open checkbook and really doubt that this bike needed a thing to pass inspection but as we all know people are just not buying bikes in this economic depression so the stealerships have to make up for it somewhere else. I have advised the gentleman who bought my bike and anyone else to NOT take their bike to these thieves.
