Smart Shopper Savings Club Scammers I got a letter from a lawyer saying I owe them. Who ARE they? Chicago Illinois

Today, 4-26-2016, I received in the regular mail a notice from a creditor, Malcom S. Gerald adn Associates, Inc. The letter informed me their client had submitted my account to them for collection. That would be Smart Shoppers Savings Club. What account? It's news to me! Apparently, it was for magazines. I NEVER buy magazines. I don't have time to read them.

He says he will stop all collection activity will be stopped as soon as I send full payment of 1033.84. That's not gonna happen. Oh. And they're willing to cooperate with me to resolve this matter. That's nice. I wonder if he's a real lawyer or if so, I can get him disbarred for attempted theft. There's no physical address for this company or a website to go to. Only the lawyer in Chicago.
