Smart Style - Regis Hair Salon Ripoff! Turned my hair Orangish yellow to Purple to brownish green. Damaged it so bad the ends are coming out and my scalp burns!! Newnan Georgia

I arrived at smart style on 4-20-07 at 9:45 in the morning for a simple hightlight to touch up just my roots. I had blonde highlighted hair.

The stylist started to foil just the crown of my head, like i said i just needed the roots done. After i came out from under the dryer i looked in the mirror and the top was all a bright orangish yellow. Not highlighted the whole crown was bleached!

I was devistated and told her no way you have to do something about this. That that was not what i had asked for. She told me she could put my natural color in by by highlighting. I knew i had to do something so i agreed. Bad mistake, The brown turned out to be a purple! So now i am stuck with this god aweful blondish orange purle color now. I freaked out, and started crying.

They my stylist and another said i only had 2 choices, color restoration or all one color. They proceeded to mix bleach mixed w/ shampoo to i guess weaken it and apply it to the whole crown of my head to try and remove the purple. They had it on for about 30 minutes and they told me the purple came out. I then looked in the mirror and it was like surfer blonde. I felt of the hair and it started coming out and was like kinky looking.

I totally freaked and told them i needed to call my husband i felt like i was going to have a nervous breakdown right there!

I was in their supply room crying waiting for my husband. Nobody tryed to calm me down they just went about their business until my husband got their. My husband was speechless when he saw my hair and they told him it was normal for the hair to break and fall out whenever using bleach. They reassured him they would fix it!! He calmed me down and told me to let them fix it.

I was terrified of what they were going to do to me next! They proceeded to to try to pull my natural color through a cap. The stylist again screwed up and apparently didnt have the cap tight enough because i ended up with blonde roots and dark everywhere else. The other stylist told her she needed to now put the dark brown on the roots to fix it! The color had been dumped and now they didnt anymore. I was left in the chair for a good 30 min not knowing anything and the stylist apparently had to go to sally beauty supply for the color.

She finally for back and starting putting the color on my roots. My head was on fire! My scalp burned so bad i couldnt stand it. They then proceeded to put my "natural color on they said that the first color was just something for this so called natural color to hold on to. When they put the other color on i was totally on fire, i lasted under the dryer for 3 minutes, was suppose to be 20. I told them i was on fire they had no sympathy what so ever and said the only thing they could do was wash it out.

Well they did and now my hair was an aweful blondish orange color on the roots and a greenish brown everywhere else! I began crying again because they said they were done! I knew i couldnt leave like that. Thank god their new supervisor was there for the first time meeting them and told me not to worry that she was an expert colorist and she was devistated to see the green in my hair. She had to put a non peroxide base color on so my scalp wouldnt burn so bad!

She had to use a red base to get the green out and got my hair almost all the same color a reddish brown! My hair has never been this dark in my life, it looks horrible not to mention the severe damage. The manager of the salon told me basically for $40 bucks or what ever they were charging me what did i expect. She said to have an expert color my hair i would of had to spend at least $100.

Remember i arrived there at 9:45 in the morning it was now 6:30 when i was getting ready to leave. Not until the supervisor was trying to fix my hair did the manager offer me something to drink that whole time!and that was about 5:30...

The supervisor said she saw alot of inexperience there and that they the formula to fix my hair in the back but didnt know how to use it! I am thinking about seeking legal advice and have document everything and also reported them to the BBB. I am calling the Home office on Monday!
