I got a DUI in 2001,after the death of my mother.I live in Utah,but was across the line in Arizona,7 miles from my home,when I got the DUI> I complied with every order from the Judge.AA Classes,Drug and Alcohol Classes(self paid),I did 10 days in jail( I paid over $300. for. I never drank a drop since.Live goes on and in March 2010,I went to get my license renewed in Utah,but they could not renew it,because Arizona had a hold on my license.I went to the DMV in Arizona,and they informed me that I had to have an alcohol ignition device installed in my car for a year.I was never ordered by the judge tp do this,their answer was that they just got computerized and the only way to get my license renewed in Utah was to comply,and so I did.I went to Page, arizona(75 miles one way from my home) and had the device installed.I've had nothing but problems with the machine,been stranded,had my wiring and starter burn up.,had the machine and the hand held device replaced a few times.I've made the 150 mi. trip once a month to have the machine recalabrated and all the times I had problems.I've had to be towed .Everytime I tried to get some help from the company,I just get blown off and told, it can't be the machines fault.when in reality it was.Everytime there was a problem,I've reported to the installer,who in return,reports it to corprate,who sends info. to the DMV,so there are no problems with violation. My year is at last up,its so expensive every month.Imagine my surprise when I call the DMV to get the ok to get the machine taken out of my car,when they say,Oh No,you have 4 or 5 violations,that extends the time you must keep the machine in the car, a year per violation.I tell them that I have never received a corrective notice,they tell me that they have been mailed,but apparently they sent them to the wrong address(My correct address is on the orginal order from the DMV when I had it installed),so is it my fault,they have faulty record keeping? They will give me no copy of the data from the installer(can"t do that)  This really reeks of extortion.It has caused me so much stress,its effecting my health.I am so angry and tired of calling the company and the DMV,and being spoken to like I'm a criminal and intellectually challenged.There are 100s of people with the exact same story from this company.I've had it and won't take it anymore.Sounds like a class action suit to me !!!!
