SOG Fencing, Kyle Stallings, Jeremy Perry Scammed and Ripped off on fence staining and landscaping Lubbock Texas

We recently bought a new construction home. We had to put in a yard. We found SOG fencing to stain our fence. In talking to Kyle Stallings he explained they could help us with trees and landscaping. He came and measured the property and gave us a quote. He said he could start immediately. Below is a summary or what has happened. We now have no yard, our fence is streaked and a few trees are still standing. We have been scammed out of thousands of dollars. This company claims to stand for SOG son's of God. They also state they make charitable donations monthly. I would really like to make the public aware so no one else get's scammed and ripped off. 

 

On July 27th we hired SOG Fencing to stain our fence, plant trees and hydromulch our yard. They subbed the hydromulch part out. We paid by check SOG for their services and started watering our yard. When I got home from work I noticed there were some spots missing stain on the fence. I asked Kyle with SOG if I could have a bit of the extra stain they had left over in case I found a few spots. Kyle had posted on Facebook a picture of our fence and said they had a good amount left over so if anyone was looking to get their fence stained they could do it at a great price. Yeah they could because I paid for the stain. So now they want to charge someone else for the left over stain. Kyle told me they didn't have any left over. After two weeks of watering our yard waiting for the hydromulch to take and some grass to spout I noticed we weren't making much progress. I contacted the company with our concerns and they assured me everything would be ok. They assured me grass would be coming in.

 

Three weeks after the hydromulch was sprayed I started doing research. I noticed we should have a significant amount of coverage started on our yard. Our yard had none. Maybe a few blades peeking through but not even close to coverage. I contacted the company again and he said the rain may have washed it away or he didn't really know why the hydromulch didn't take. He said the guy who sprayed the hydromulch would have to come look at it. Micah came to look at our yard and said he didn't know why. He insinuated we didn't water it but in the past month we have received 8 inches of rain and I have a very large water bill in result of us watering twice a day. There is no way you can tell me it didn't get watered.

 

I then reached back out to Kyle. I asked for a refund. He refused to refund us any money. He said he would come throw some seed down. I explained to him at this point we can't just reseed it. We have major drifts in the yard that need to be fixed. We can't chance another large water bill on their seed if the first round of seed didn't work. We also need to hire a new company to level the yard and fix the drifts. I have never put in a yard before. I didn't know you need to level the yard before you start. That's why we hired someone. They didn't level the yard, offer to level the yard, tell us we need to level the yard, tell us what we were paying for was not including leveling the yard. We found out from friends and other landscapers they should have leveled the yard to begin with. I had received a message from Jeremy Perry who is Kyle's business partner. He explained he would love to meet with us and figure out how to make this right. He said he was out of town.

 

After several messages I explained to Jeremy we can't reseed at this point. We would like a refund. Jeremy offered to give us a partial refund and have someone come out to fix the fence. I was never given a date when someone would come out or when we would receive our refund so I continued to reach out to Kyle and Jeremy asking for a specific date and time when someone would be here to fix the fence and give us a refund. Kyle finally said Friday, 08/25/17 mid morning someone would be here to fix the fence. Jeremy still claimed he was out of town. It has been two weeks since I have asked for a refund and still nothing has been resolved. Friday mid morning came and gone and no one showed up. I contacted Kyle and Jeremy and asked them if someone was coming to fix the fence and give us a refund. Jeremy responded with no one was coming to fix the fence and there would be no refund. Now he's gone back on his word. I told him two weeks ago if this was handled I wouldn't post anything on social media and everything would end I just wanted a refund. Every time I reached out to Jeremy or Kyle hours would pass and sometimes days would pass before I would get a response. We have been cheated out of money, not received quality work and they refused to make it right, fix anything or refund us our money.
