I ordered two pairs of shoes on March 29th from Sole Shoppers. I was routed to PayPal, then to another screen asking for my check card as the PayPal option did not work. I paid $330.20 for my items.

I received an email shortly thereafter acknowledging my order request. A day, perhaps two, later I received an email FROM PayPal stating my order had shipped. It included a PayPal order number and a tracking number. Clicking on the order number which was also a link took me to an error page on PayPal. Clicking on the tracking number just showed me electronic information had been entered, but no actual items had been processed by the shipping company.

I waited approximately a week and checked the tracking number again, no charge. I tried the Papal link again, still an error. I checked the Sole Shoppers site and my account; it lists the item as shipped and order complete. I have tried emailing this company several times now with zero response. I am contacting a lawyer tomorrow.

Sole Shoppers Follow Up

AUTHOR: Wildcat - ()

POSTED: Monday, April 28, 2014

So after contacting a lawyer, he directed me to take the following steps, contact PayPal and my bank. File claims with each if I can, then we would proceed. I contacted PayPal first. I described the interaction exactly how it is below and they informed me this company IS A SCAM. (And not a very smart one either.) They are basically abusing PayPal's buyer protection program since they are going through PayPal and not actually selling anything. Then when someone complains, PayPal is either forced to cover the amount or get bad Public Relations as their service is a money proxy to PROTECT the buyer. It’s not only a scam on the buyer, but more so on PayPal.

They opened a case against Sole Shoppers and several days later after filing reports about them, PayPal ruled in my favor and recovered my money. If it wasn't for PayPal I'd be screwed. That's not all though, several days later I received a HORRIBLY beat up packaging in the mail from, you guessed it, Sole Shoppers. Not only was it NOT what I ordered as there was one ONE pair of boots in there, it wasn’t even the SAME KIND they advertised. I suspect this is another way to try to get out of litigation as they are technically sending your SOMETHING. It was a CHEAP China made imitation leather boot. Hell, they weren’t even in the size I specified.

DO NOT use Sole Shoppers at ANY time EVER. It is a TOTAL SCAM!
