Sonic Cameras Bait and Switch, Scam, MARINE PARK, New York

Recently I purchased or tried to purchase a digital camera from Sonic Cameras. Two days later I received a message on my home phone asking me to call that they needed the last 3 digits of my credit card. When called they tried to get me to buy the battery for $199 and the battery charger for $399. When I stated that the battery and charger come standard with the camera I was told that to sell the camera at that price they had to take the battery and charger out. So I told them that at that price now over $800 total I would just buy it from a local merchant. They argued that point with me to which I told them to just cancel the order. Thye informed me that they would be charging me a $43 cancellation fee. I refused to pay that and they threatened to send me to collections and to put a mark on my credit. They are a classic bait and switch company out scam consumers. So, buyers beware.
