Bought a Sony Bravia Android TV model FWD-55X81CH. "Guide" button on remote would not work. Sony cust. svce. indicated need to update software. Is not feasible using the TV. Requires a very complicated set of software download, then USB dongle configuration and more.

This alone requires some computer expertise, which I possess. The best part - MAKE ONE MISTAKE IN THIS LENGTHY AND COMPLEX, MULTI-HARDWARE/SOFTWARE PROCEDURE AND YOUR TV CAN BE DAMAGED AND IN NEED OF REPAIR!! Needless to say I'd be a fool to even try.

So, bottom line - TV specifications are unmet, no TV guide for OTA channels. AVOID SONY TV'S! BTW the dealer (Costco) offers no in-home repair or replacements. The set weighs around 50 lb and is very bulky (55" screen). Great news to a homebound man.
