Souris Vally Dental group screws you, The Dr said we would only do what you can afford, and set up payments you can afford. When work was all done they hit you with the "required" payment plan of getting a dental loan with interest or you have to pay with 6 months. They lie to get the most charges they can. Half our fillings have fallen out and an extra mold was taken of a tooth and a crown made without knoledge, (they were only told to do 1 tooth) Below is the actions I have taken, now the collection agency said their is nothing they can do. The want the whole 2400.00 NOW. Beware don't go here, they are very good minipulators.

May 2003, contacted SVDG by phone and letter, about charges. (got nothing but another statement) with a 30.00 interest charge???

June 2003, Sent letter to SVDG regarding the possible of wrong coding (insur did not pay some things) also about 2nd crown Brett said NO to doing. And the problem of them Not telling us about using a Dental credit plan to pay or their 6 month max to pay. When we first went to them, they never mentioned these payment options. And the DR. said we would go over the charges and only do what we can afford. (NEVER DID)(never received a call or letter in reply to our letter to them) wrote we are disputing entire bill until this is all straightened out. By our calculations we only owe them around $1400.00 , this is taking off the cost of second crown we refused to have made and the charges that insurance should have paid.(received no reply)

July 25 2003, Received collection notice from Procollect (they turned account over to collection without contacting us about our concerns over our bill. Called, asked to speak to office manager, woman who answered phone ask what is was in regards to, I said billing, she said I can speak to her. I told her first we had written about concerns with our bill and we got a collection notice instead. I said there are some things that insurance should have paid and others that we said we did not want done. (Brett had gotten a root canal and had a crown made, next to this tooth SVDG did was another tooth he had done 10 years ago that did need a crown, but he told them it would have to wait till next year and only wanted the one done. They went and made it anyway without our knowledge. And now are charging us for it.)

The woman I was talking to kept interrupting me and would not listen to my questions and what I have found out, finally I said in a firm voice "you need to listen to me" she then got very rude (she was rude from the beginning) and said she does not want to talk to me anymore, and hung up on me.

I then called back, and asked her why she hung up, she said that I do not need to talk to her that way. I asked to speak to someone else, she said no, I said I need to speak to someone about this, or I will have to go to a lawyer, then she hung up on me yet again. I'm confused on this I had to get firm with her she would not let me speak, how am I to Handel billing questions when the person responsible will not talk to me, I never yelled or cussed!????

I then called a third time, her first words were "are you going to quit harassing me??" I asked for her name, she said she did not have to give it to me. I said "Hun" She yelled "don't call me HUN I'm NOT your HUN." I asked well then give me your name, again refused said she does not have to. Hung up on me AGAIN.

I'm stuck at what to do, three of my husband and mine temporary fillings (that were to last till next year) have fallen out. Mine resulting in having the tooth break and have to be pulled, the second crown my husband refused but they made anyway. Charges that were not given to our insurance correctly. Can they legally send to collections when your trying to get everything straightened out, but they refuse to correspond????
