I found an Isuzu Rodeo LS 4x4 on the web listed for sale at Southern Hospitality Automotive Group's wholesale center for $3150.00. I went there with a sales person from their airport Dodge, Jeep, Fiat dealership to look at the Rodeo. The manager there said the car was listed at the wrong price, and that there was "no way I'll sell that car for $3150.00". We held him to the price and signed a sales agreement, and an "as is" sales agreement. He told me I could drive the car and have it evaluated for major mechanical deficiencies, and get my money back if there was a major problem. When we left, after signing all the papers, he stated that the car would be detailed, inspected, and ready for pickup on Friday, 12/30/2011. When we were getting ready to go pickup the car, my salesman called and said he called to make sure the car was ready and the manager told him they no longer had the car. The manager stated he wholesaled the car. He kept his word about not selling the car for $3150.00. I have contacted an attorney, and we are going to sue the dealership for breach of contract, and I am posting the story on ripoffreport to alert people of the kind of people they will be dealing with at Southern Hospitality Automotive Group. Beware. Evidently written contracts take a back seat to profits and integrity at their organization.

Correction: The "WE OWE" statement stated that the car would be "Prep(ed) & State Inspect & Detail" and ready to pick up on SAT 12/31/11.

The corporation President called me. I was disgusted and angered by his manner. I won't bother with the details, but he stated the car was on their lot and  I could come and get the car if I still wanted it. The phone message they left us saying they no longer had the car because they wholesaled it was evidently a lie. I told him I wanted the "WE OWE" agreement complied with. He got belligerent, talking over me, then yelling while I tried to finish my sentence. He wouldn't let me, continued yelling, and I hung up on him. I was actually shocked by the unprofessional manner displayed by the President of the corporation. Called the secretary of the CEO, who was out of town, and explained the situation. Got a call from "the major shareholder" of the corporation who proceeded to go into a long explanation of how they researched the Virginia laws and found they could sell me the car "as is" without an inspection. I let him finish, and told him that the information was irrelevant as I had a signed contract from them stating the car would be prep'ed, state inspected, and detailed, and that is what I expected. He then got belligerent and rude and he hung up on me when I told him he was making the same kind of smart-a** comments the President said to me earlier. He accused me of calling him a smart-a*s and hung up on me. I talked to a lawyer ( 5 stars rating for her knowledge and competence in dealings with car dealers). After she called them, I was informed that they would comply with the "WE OWE" statement, and have the car ready for pick up the next day. We went to get the car, but they would not close the deal, instead putting a dealer tag on the car good for 5 days. The car has a new inspection sticker on it, but the horn doesn't even work, and the brake pedal is very soft! Car had been washed and interior vacuumed, tires shined, windows cleaned, and interior plastic parts dressed. Engine compartment not detailed, oil and filter not changed. I am having the car inspected elsewhere. If it fails, I will inform the state police and turn the matter over to them. I have also informed the lawyer of their superficial cleanup and nonconformance with the signed sales agreement. This is NOT a small private used car dealer with 50 cars. These folks have over 400 used cars between all their dealerships, and the company profile on the internet states they gross over 100 million dollars a year! I am amazed by their brazen disregard for a contract, a paying customer with over 700 credit rating, and professionalism. A real head scratcher for me. I merely want to purchase the car for the advertised price and have it delivered as promised and as is expected when a car is purchased. I'm really sorry they inadvertently put the wrong price on two different website listings, but that really isn't my concern. Just do what is right as expected.
