Southwest Auto Towing Irresponsible Towing Company Caused Thousands of Dollars of Damage to my Vehicle and Refuse to Speak to Me or Pay Damages. Dallas Texas

On April 13, 2008, Southwest Auto Tow towed my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Southwest Auto Tow significantly damaged my vehicle. I discovered the damage upon retrieval of the vehicle from Southwest Auto Tow. Prior to leaving the premises, I requested to speak to a member of management regarding the damages to my vehicle. I was refused. At this time, I contacted the Dallas Police Department. Dallas Police Department arrived at Southwest Auto Tow and documented the incident. I also took pictures of the damage to my vehicle, prior to leaving Southwest Auto Tow's premises. From Monday, April 14th through Friday April 18th, I repeatedly contacted Southwest Auto Tow, several times per day, requesting to speak to someone about the damages and necessary repairs to my vehicle. Each time, I was told no member of management or ownership was available. I left several messages, which did not result in any returned phone calls. The manager of the apartment community from which the vehicle was towed also attempted to contact Southwest Auto Tow, in an effort to facilitate a returned phone call. I did not receive a single returned phone call from any person at Southwest Auto Tow.

After several attempts on Friday, April 18th, at approximately 11am I was finally able to speak to a member of management, by the name of Patrick. Patrick was very unprofessional and unwilling to help me. He did not deny the damage caused by his company to my vehicle; instead he stated that his company policy is that all claims are to be made within 48 hours of the picking up the vehicle. I find this to be absurd, especially considering I attempted to contact their office numerous times daily, prior to this first conversation. In addition, I demanded to speak to a member of management when I retrieved the vehicle. Not only was my initial request denied, but all attempts to contact this company were also denied for the next 95 hours- making it impossible for me to even speak to someone within "48 hours". During our conversation, Patrick was rude and personally offensive. At one point, he made the inference that his 8 year old son was more intelligent than me. He ended our conversation by hanging up on me and offering absolutely no resolution to correct the damages caused by the direct negligence perpetrated by Southwest Auto Tow. Since this conversation, I have made further attempts to contact Southwest Auto Tow, in an effort to resolve this situation; however, Southwest Auto Tow has been completely non-responsive.

It is completely unethical and illegal for Southwest Auto Tow to act in such a manner. They are liable for the damages to my vehicle. I find it incomprehensible for Southwest Auto Tow to attempt to avoid responsibility through such devious and duplicitous tactics.

Southwest Auto Tow is clearly not interested in maintaining good standards of business or acting in good faith.

I have exhausted all attempts to resolve this matter at a personal level with this company. I am writing this complaint so that others may be aware of the blatant disrespect and lack of concern for consumers this company shows. In addition, the reprehensible conduct of Southwest Auto Tow should certainly be made a matter of public record. It is my sincere hope that Southwest Auto Tow will not be allowed to continue to engage in illegal and unethical business practices.
