I first heard about this Women's Fitness Gym through my previous employer. I was called regurarly by their staff until I came into the gym and almost signed a contract that would have not met with my current needs. I was contacted several more times until I finished school.

I thought this gym was too good to be true for the simple fact that this gym was for women only, pre/post pregnancy classes and offered child care services while you exercised. I decided to join the gym once my semester was over and wish I never did. However, I was four months pregnant and became very ill and tried to extend the time on my membership until I was well enough to continue with my gym membership. I was denied because I was unable to obtain a doctor's note. I did not make such a big deal because I went on days that I felt well enough to exercise.

I joined the gym in July of 2003. The summer came and went and I noticed on my recent credit card statement for the months of October and November 2003, that this gym had billed me for two months of service charges that I was unaware of or notified about.

I called the gym immediately and told them I was not participating in their gym and wanted to be refunded. They told me that was not possible. The sales woman stressed that the type of membership deal that I signed up for was correct.

In order to cancel my gym membership, I would have to write a handwritten letter to their headquarters explaining why I did not want to continue being a member to their gym. I did so and to my suprise it's December 2003 and I just found out again that I was billed for another monthly fee.

This time the sales woman stressed they had to have a whole calander months notice and that they would consider my contract terminated. When I signed up for the gym, the sales woman did not mention this information to me or I would have rejoined my previous gym and I'de still have control over my money.

The only thing I was told of being charged for was my once in a life time gym membership and the summer gym special, I was not informed that every month I would be automatically billed without my consent. I was taken for $150.00 in service charges even though I was not active in their gym. How do these people live with themselves?

Please Read Every Detail of a gym membership contract because when you think you've heard it all even the new fitness centers sprouting up all over have their own get rich scams.
