This company is a joke. I worked for Securitas for 2 years and thought I would pick up some extra hours. First they tell you that your hired and then they go on and on about how amazing their company is, but to quialify you have to take their advanced class. So I did.
I asked for a reciept for tax purposes and they said to check back at the end of class. Then when I asked again they said they would be right with me. Then finally I got sick of waiting and told them I had to get going and would really like my reciept their response was ... oh the guy in charge of that left a half hour ago. For this "special" class...it says on their website thaty you will be "certified" but you never recieve a certificate...like you do for "REAL" security companies.
So then I call the next day and they tell me I have to come in for another interview....hold on you said I was already hired and and to just take the class. Nope. So I show up to this "office" and it is at someones moms house in a garage in the behind where she lives. This isn't special security force this is special security FARCE !
I am now emplyeed by a real company here's their Web site...I was hired and working full time with in a week. http://hss-us.com/ Here is where you want to go if you want a real job.
BTW - I have seen that Bill. Mike or some other jokester from SSF has made an attempt to make these complaits to look like a competitor is trying to make them look bad....Not the case. These yokels are the scammers, cheats, fruads, low life scum that are taking advantage of people who need jobs and land owners that need security.

Specialized class

Here is how SSF works when getting new employees or hiring individuals. Even if you have your AZDPS guard card they still insist that the new employee takes their "specialized" training. For a cost of 50.00. If you have a guard card, then you should not have to take the 8 hour course again, expect in renewal cases. They are just trying to make an extra 50 bucks off their new employee. They will also highly suggest that you obtain the armed guard card using them as the training facility. They will state something like: We have a contract coming up.
When hiring new employees, they lure them in by saying how much work they have. The new employee should ask two main questions: 1) How many billable man hours do you have coming in? Then 2) How many employees do you have working for you currently. Again they will make you sit through training and when you are down, you will here the same excuse: We have more contracts lining up everyday.
Promising jobs in today's economy just to make extra money with their "specialized" training is just plain morally wrong.
In defense of SSF, there have been plenty of reports and investigations regarding his business practices. You can not blame the man if people still fall for all the lies and deceit.

I am a current employee of SSF and have been for some time. I know from being involved with the hiring process that this post is completely fictitious. The only "special" class that we require that our officers go through in order to be hired is a DPS REQUIRED training class to obtain your guard card. We look for people who are professional. Based on the tone and statements made, I can see that you are not a professional person. If you really want to hurt a strong company that actually values it's employees, you are going to have to try a lot harder than this.

Notice to all former employees of Special Security Force:
There is a current Department of Labor investigation underway on SSF. For all employees wishing to file complaints on SSF payroll violations, you can contact the US Department of Labor. Advise them that you wish to contact the investigator (Charmaine Newman) and give her information regarding your experiences with SSF.
Also, be aware that Mike Griffith, one of the owners of SSF, has formed a new company, United Metro Security Force, LLC, which has two trade names it is operating under, Special Security Force and United Metro Security.

This company is a joke?
I worked for Securitas for 2 years and thought I would pick up some extra hours. (So you work for Securitas great? Why would an already employed Securitas Officer, with rank and benefits, who is after all working for a competitor, want to come and work for our company at the same time? Indeed that statement would seem to create and is a conflict of interest in itself.)
First they tell you that youre hired and then they go on and on about how amazing their company is, but to qualify you have to take their advanced class. So I did. (I dont think that any company is going to tell you that you are hired over the phone.)
I asked for a receipt for tax purposes and they said to check back at the end of class. (Receipts for class are provided when you pay for the class.)
Then when I asked again they said they would be right with me. Then finally I got sick of waiting and told them I had to get going and would really like my receipt their response was ... oh the guy in charge of that left a half hour ago. For this
"special" class...it says on their website that you will be "certified" but you never receive a certificate...like you do for
"REAL" security companies. (Again reciepts for class are provided when you pay for the class. You did receive a certificate
and everything else you needed to get your Arizona Guard Card.)
So then I call the next day and they tell me I have to come in for another interview....hold on you said I was already hired and to just take the class. (I dont think that any company is going to tell you that you are hired over the phone.)
I am now employed by a real company here's their Web site...I was hired and working full time with in a week.
http://hss-us.com/ Here is where you want to go if you want a real job. (What happened to working for Securitas? After 2 years youre just going to let your rank and benefits go on what was termed, thought I would pick up some extra hours.)
From the looks of your complaint its pretty obvious why you didnt become employed. (I took the liberty to correct your spelling as best I could )
Personally this report looks pretty fictitious looking and most likely probably NEVER HAPPENED. I wish I could leave it at that but perhaps its real intent can be found in what it tries to accuse.
BTW - I have seen that Bill. Mike or some other jokester from SSF has made an attempt to make these complaints to
look like a competitor is trying to make them look bad....Not the case. These yokels are the scammers, cheats, frauds, low life scum that are taking advantage of people who need jobs and land owners that need security.
