Micro Center Micro Ripoff asks way to much personal information, Email, address, phone numbers Fairfax Virginia

Every time when I go inside that store to buy something small, the first thing they ask is "May I have your name sir/ma'am" "E-mail?" now why all this information!? I was just buying a $20 dvd. They ask you all this information and yet they can't give you a clear reason on why they need it. They say for the recipts, well what about the recipts they give you? They say for return purposes, well they give you a recipt, so why name, address phone number and Email?

Micro Center says that when you provide your name, address and email is just for the recipts, well than why did I get junk mail!? they sell information! and they wont tell you that! Why? what is a clear reason they ask for all this information. It doesn't make any sense all that information is personal and I know most people agree with me. Personal information should be kept personal, remember Micro Center is a store, not a government agency collecting information.

Micro Center also fires employees who can't get a certain percentage in name capturing! In other words they are forced to capture names! and the employees take all the pressure for the thousands and thousands of customers who don't want to provide their personal information, I think its unfair. All the personal iformation is not require for small purchases. Micro Center is a store that wants all all your personal information, with no reason.
