Spectrum/CBSD - SPCTM/CBSD $9000 Credit Card Opened With No Authorization Hagerstown Maryland
*UPDATE Employee: Talk to Customer Service
*Consumer Suggestion: Did you have a Macy's card?
I found a credit card for SPCTM/CBSD opened 9/07 with a limit of $9,000 listed on my credit report. I never opened this account and do not know how it ended up on my credit report.
Thanks to Michael in Pittsburgh -- I will definitely write to all the addresses you provided in your report. In the meantime, I will write to Spectrum/CBSD in Hagerstown to close this account.

Talk to Customer Service

This happened once to a customer at our store. One of our managers personally tracked down the discrepancy and got it reversed. Just call customer service and file a dispute. The number will be on the Macy's website. Doing this is far better protection against fraud than harassing the person who fraudulently opened the card and probably gave the wrong address.

Did you have a Macy's card?

From what I understand, Bighorn18, is that if you have had a Macy's credit card and have not used it in a while, Citibank is sending you a card to replace it. I hope this helps.
