My husband and I purchased a "certified used"  2011 kia  sorrento at the end of June 2013.We traded in our 2012 Sorrento that we got from there for a lower payment. We went on vacation, so the car sat for a week. I didnt really start driving it until July. It needed a new battery in a month or so, after the service manager told us the price, my husband fussed and we got the battery free. A week ago,(yes 6 months later) I took the truck in to Spiter Kia because the ride felt unsafe. The service manager called me at work to tell me I would need 4 new tires, a wheel alignment, and brakes totalling over $550 plus (I couldn't hear anything after $550). I then left the sales manager a message to call me and explain to me what "certified used" meant to Kia (I owned a certified used car before from Acura that was hassle free). They start telling me how they're allowed to sell cars with this and that little amount of tread on the tires, and this little amount of brakes. They told me how all of these items are normal wear and tear, but I didnt get to do most of the tearing. They offered me 10% off any service, lol. Hmmm...when I dropped the car off the night before and my Mom came to pick me up, the salesperson told her why "certified used" was hassle free, lower cost of ownership, because she was considering buying a winter vehicle from there. My husband was also going to buy a new work car from Vince at the dealership, not anymore. DO NOT BUY from them. Kia's are ok but Spitzer is horrible.

The definition of certified used car

AUTHOR: Auto dealer fraud Investigator - ()

POSTED: Saturday, January 18, 2014

We have to understand something about the auto industry as consumers. First we have to talk about the word SALE. What is a sale ? Is it a deal that's been closed ? Is it a discount because the company needs to move inventory ? Or the best question is it a tool to attract suckers ?

Everybody has a sale especially car dealers, Panel they even have them every weekend and they got a special name for each and everyone of them. You've heard the names of their so-called sales. Here's my favorite ( construction reduction sale ) that makes me want to throw up. All we must never forget about the presidents day sale. In the month sale. Now there is a classic, that's another one that wants to make me throw up.

Just because there's a sign someplace out in front of a business or you hear some kind of crap on the radio about a sale that doesn't mean that they're having the discount that they're having a sale there just using that word as a tool to attract suckers.

Most the time when somebody goes out to play part with their money with a business and they're going to that business because that business is telling everybody that they're having a sale, That's where you the consumer make sure that you have a check up from the neck up before you go to that business jump on the Internet and do your homework to find out if in fact you're actually going to a sale and what kind of a sale are you going to. We have to understand that there are several different meanings of the word sale.

Just below is my true definition of the word sale and I'm sure that it will assist you in acquiring a check up from the neck up before you part with your money like a FOOL.

SALE. You know the word now understand my definition.

S. Suckers

A. Are

L. loose and

E. Easy

So when you see that word ( SALE ) MAKE SURE YOU are  NOT a sucker that is NOT loose and easy because if you are, you're going to leave that established with a lot less money than what you came in there with.

Now we have to Think about the words  ( certified used car ) We have to ask yourself what the hell does that mean ? Certified used car, If the car became certified as certified it ? Maybe the person selling you the car certified it. so what's the true value of the words certified used car ?

Now if we had somebody certifying the car with no conflict of interest in the company that was selling the used car and was willing to stand behind it but not be the person selling it to you maybe there would be true value.

Just because a car is certified and the dealership has some kind of documentation taped to the windshield that the car is in fact certified doesn't mean that it's not going to take a healthy crap on you right around the corner after you sign the documentation. If you want reliability spend a little extra money and buy a brand-new car that's certified by the manufacture because they will stand behind it unlike so many dealerships, that will not do.

Many dealerships buy their used cars from auctions. The cars are brought to the auction from other dealers who do not want that crap on their lot so they take it to the auction and dump it off to what is known as a sucker.

Then on the consumer side of the fence the sucker will go to the dealership and buy the call from the sucker that bought it from somebody that didn't work that puking crap on the lot. So it makes me come to the conclusion that puking crap and suckers belong together somehow or another they always windup hand-in-hand.

And the suckers always come out the other end with less money. Do yourself a big favor if you want reliability, If you want dependability, And if you want fuel efficiency buy a new car don't be the typical Moche that has a plastic lawn chair budget trying to acquire the La-Z-Boy. That never works.

Footnote to all who read this that used to sell cars for living. Please come here Telisha story tell us how you used to screw customers/ SUCKERS. We would love to hear your stories.

And remember this little favorite saying that I have.

In life you are going to be one of two things. You have to make up your mind early in life which one of these you will be.

Are you going to be a pusher ? Or are you going to be a receiver ?

And remember many times this saying is also true as well.

Many who have nothing in their pocket, Will have nothing in their head.
