Spray Gun World Bait and Switch internet Oklahoma

After spending several days researching HVLP spray guns I finally decided to order a Binks SV100P from Spray Gun World and on 5-29 I placed the order. Late the next day I had received no response beyond the automated  order receipt, so I went back to their site to try to check the status of my order.

I quickly found there is nothing on their site to indicate their location, no company history and no way to contact them other than by email.

I became very concerned and started the checking I should have done before ordering, which included reading Rip-off-Reports, where I found many bad reports.

I then called my credit card company and had them deactivate my card and thankfully found that SGW had not yet grabbed my money.

It is now 6-2 and this morning I received an email from Mike (if that's really his name) at SGW telling me that the gun I ordered was a Chinese version and not in stock and that the good version was $150 more. I sent him a reply that there was no mention of Chinese versions on his site and he could just cancel the order.

If anyone wants to go to their site they will find on the main page a left pane with two columns. One indicates USA guns, the other indicates guns from around the world. Binks is in the USA column.

Clearly I received a bait and switch offer. This is on top of the many other sins detailed on this and other sites about these creeps.

I was fortunate enough to not lose any money to them, just lot's of time and frustation.
