Sprinkler Head and Collar Disabled my sprinkler system and wanted to install a new one Toms River New Jersey

     Several years ago, Sprinkler Head and Collar installed our automatic sprinkler system at our Jersey Shore Home.  They have been doing routine service and closings since with no issues.  This year when we returned to the home after Sandy, the sprinkler system was not working at all.  We naturally assumed storm related damage and called for service.

     After assessing the situation, we were told that there was extensive damage to the system, including rusting and corrosion due to salt water exposure.  We were given an estimate for $5500 to replace the system.  This seemed a bit excessive, as the original installation had not been that much.  So we got a second estimate from another company that services our neighbors.

     The new sprinkler service, Bay Head Sprinkler, came in, and within minutes, pointed out to us that four screws on the system had been removed, which completely disabled the system.  They replaced the screws for $15 and the system is now working fine.

     Since the screws were hidden away in a place where there is no traffic, it is a little hard to understand how all four screws came loose and disappeared simultaneously.  At a minimum, Sprinkler Head and Collar should have recognized the real problem, and repaired it.  

     Had the bill not been so outrageous, there is no doubt that we would have fallen for this scam.  Please beware of this unscrupulous operation.
