I bought a new Evo 4G in October, was so happy! Until the firm ware from HTC came in March! THen every thing went down hill from there! The phone powered off and died! It would not reboot , changed out batteries, even got sucked into buying a new heavey duty battery for $55.00 and had to pay $35.00 for the local Sprint store to look at teh phone and tell me it was dead! Really!

I am quiet capable of telling if the phone is dead and not able to reboot. I talked to tech suport from Sprint , he told me he was sending a replacement over night air.

The First  Evo 4 G  showed up after I had to call tech suport back and confirm my phone had been shipped, when I called the store they told me it was on back order. I explained she had signed for my phone at 10:55 Am, oh ya hahaha I see it is here now.

THe store had ordered another  Evo 4 G phone to replace another costomers that were having problems, I drove back out to the Sprint store, reloaded my info... bang the phone signed on and dies again! So onto to the back up Evo G they had ordered LOL! we went threw everything agin resent teh info.. I signed in again! The phone went black and died again!

We again did another Evo 4G this time the phone signed on and was ok, after I bought the extra heavy duty battery and had the origenal battery and tried to download my info from G-Mail being are contacts are stored on there web site. The transfer started and only transfered 8 of my phone contacts and lost the other 500 ! No way to restore them from my dead phone.

This phone lasted a whole 7 days it drained the heavy duty battery signed off and went dead again! I called the Sprint store again and was told they would order me another replacement phone LOL!

What they don't tell you is you bought and paid for a new phone! when they replace it they give you a refurbished - peice of garbage that has had problems prior and returned. Yes they tell you it is certified and the problems fixed LOl! So if they are fixed and recertified they should work?

First off I didn't buy a used - refurbished phone , so it should be replaced with a new phone just as I had purchased. Not a unstable restored - refurbished wanna be.

I took the now new dead phone back 3-17-11 and they were ordering me another replacement phone ... it would be here Monday 3-21-11 well it never showed up , it is now on back order because they have had a over run on problem Evo 4G and ran out of refurbished replacements with no date in site. Maybe with in 3 days , or 6  or they are not sure. The Sprint store says 3 days. Tammy that I talked to at Sprint  she contacted the shipping warehouse and there is no data to suport the 3 day shipping and no ship date in the near future.

I called Sprint costomer service , I talked to 4 different people a total of 4 hours on the phone with them giving me excuses . Even being insulted by Anothy from the Escalde Department for Sprint. He told me I could take my credit card and he would ship me a brand new Evo 4 G .  If I didn't like that , it was just to bad. They were  doing refubished replacements and if I didn't like it I could pay for another phone or go some were else.

Didn't I just pay for a new phone and it is nonfunctioning and died? I asked him if he bought a new car and took it back for repairs... do they give him another used car of lesser value? Did he actually think I was going to pay twice for the Evo 4 G that I had already bought , paid for?

I  asked to speak to his supervisor, he said that was not possable I would be placed on a 24-48 hour call list. I asked you mean to tell me your supervisor is not avalable? none of them? yep thats how it works.  I told him I was waiting on the phone untill one of them was free. He informed me I could not do this , they would have to call me back... he kept checking back to see if I was still on the line .

Hoping I would go away - I waited another hour , finally another person got on the line and ran me threw all the same things I had been threw for the past few hours. And baseically told if I wanted to sell my phone back.. if it powered on they would send me out a new phone! Hello if powered down dead doesn't ring any bells what does?what does?

I fianlly accepted her offer of her checking on shipment and emailing me daily and leaving voice messages on my status on my Evo 4G . So now I am paying $69.99 plus another $10.00 for a extra data package they make the Evo  4 G subscribers even if 4G is not available in our area .

So now I have to sit and wait for Sprint to ship me my used refurbished restored Evo 4G . I already informed them if this one comes in and does the shut down thing again I will be leiving Sprint due to lack of service which they have not even bothered to credit me any lost time for all my problems or even to offered me any reinbursment to travel back and forth to the Sprint store time and time again. I didn't break my contract , Sprint did for selling me a new item - then replacing it with a Lemon Evo 4 G phone.

I have been very patient and tried to be understanding during the whole resend, restore, re run, and be talked to like an idot. But I don't think it is very good bussiness to sell someone a  new phone, then give them a refurbished peice of garbage. Then have the Sprint costomer run me threw hoops and insult me and try to con me into buying another phone from them again.

I would rather  go to a pre pay drop phone. I have been a Sprint loyal costomer for over 15 years and this is how they repay me. THis is not good bussiness in these times of economy hardships people are expecting to get what they pay for.
