When I started my new account with Sprint, I was told (by a sprint rep) that paying the extra $7-or-so dollars a month for the phone insurance would be a smart move. I asked them what that entitled. They said to me, "Well, if your phone is lost, stolen or broken they will replace it with a new one. If your model is no longer available, they will give you the next model up."

It sounded like a good deal, so I asked for the insurance. I paid $400+ for the phone, $125 to start service, and have been paying a $60 per month bill. A few months ago my PPC-6700 (Pocket PC) started freezing. I took it to the store, and they decided to run some diagnostic tests on it. I sat there for about an hour just so that they could tell me, "Well, it seems that when you start the phone it automatically freezes, and is impossible to unlock."

I was already angry about the fact that I just sat there for an hour so that these geniuses could tell me EXACTLY what I told them when I came. I asked them what the problem was; they replied, "We don't know." Now, I understand that not all problems can be solved just like that, but c'mon!

After all of that, they told me that because I have the insurance they were going to order me a new phone because they had none in the store. About 4-5 days later I checked to see if my phone was in. It was. Also, they told me that they would call when it arrived, but they didn't. In fact, the man at the counter told me it had been there since the day before.

Anyway, they opened the box and started activating/and messing with my phone. When he was done he handed me my new PPC-6700, but when he handed it to me he was holding his hand over the top of it and backwards. I didn't think anything of it until I got out to my car.

Here's what my NEW Phone Had:
-2 BIG SCRATCHES across the screen
-A dent on the side
-A chip in the paint at the top
-No stylus

When I went back in I pointed this out to the store manager, He said something like, "Well, it's company policy that if the phone works, it's good enough." Not only is that ridiculous, but it's also a VERY RUDE way of stating his point. When I told him that this was unacceptable, he actually said to me, "Well, that's not my problem. You've got a phone that works, so you'll be okay."

Sprint just sucks. Almost every last Customer Service Rep in the Sunset Hills store has an attitude problem, as well. There have been numerous times when I've gone into the store and had to wait until they were done with their conversations and horseplay to get service. Not to mention that when I went to make my payment in the store just a few days ago, they had shut/locked their doors at 8:47pm. (They Close at 9pm)

Someone needs to do something bout this!
