There is a new psychic scam called the Spells and Spirits Review Forum (http://www.spsreveiwforum.com/). This is a forum claiming to expose scammers but in fact promotes psychics, deletes threads and will ban you if you post a claim contrary to one of their "approved psychics." Most of these are sellers of "spirit objects" and psychic readings on eBay.

The tagline of the website is "Seeking for true and genuine online practitioners." Very telling.

Let me start by saying if you are claiming that some psychics are "real" while others are "fake" then you are already part of the scam.

I made an account just to browse the forums and the administrator of the forum, who goes by the name "Hope," sent me this PM:

"Hi, welcome to the forum. Please be careful as there are many scammers here who will try to take advantage of you! If you are looking for a psychic or genuine practitioner I recommend the Association of Independent Readers and Rootworkers (AIRR) (readersandrootworkers.org), Spirited Enterprise (Spiritedenterprise.com) or Life Spirit Socitey of Magick (lifespiritssocietyofmagick.com). Beware of the exposed scammers - they have been proven false time and time again! Please also check Ripoff Report and do your research to find a genuine practitioner."

I made a different account and I was given the same message, but with three other websites.

So I looked through the forums. There is a member's only section that markets and promotes many "genuine online practitioners" as per the tagline (lol) while at the same time "exposing" other psychics. Many of the discussions on exposed psychics consist of little more than "Comes from Nigeria, stay away." All of the psychics are scams, but they aren't exactly putting these people through the Randi challenge.

Anything from Nigeria is almost certainly a scam. This forum is also a marketing scam to promote psychics. It is not a forum that actually "exposes" psychics beyond the select few that it chooses. This is a marketing tactic to gain confidence. Or you could simply say it is a con. You should know that these are all scams. A search on Ripoff Report confirms that this is a scam originating from Singapore. Others have been asked to send money to Singapore directly on the website. Folks, sending money to Singapore is like sending money to Nigeria.

A quick review of the forum will show you that most of the posts are made by the same group of 5-10 individuals. Most are likely the same person. They could be a small group of "psychics" who banded together to promote their own circle of websites. All of the other accounts are spurious with very few posts (less than 10-20). This is what happens when spammers use forums as marketing tools. There is no real group of actual active posters like you would expect in a real forum.

I attempted to make one thread as a test. It was short and simple. I wrote "I bought a spirit item from Spiritedenterprise.com but there was no spirit inside."

It was deleted in less than 20 minutes and I was IP banned from the forum.

I want to recant my defense of the Sps Review Forum.

AUTHOR: MaggieL - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, September 18, 2015

It appears I defended a forum that is in fact in the wrong!! There was no way of knowing that when I did post in "Hope's" defense and M. Miller's. I honestly thought there were attacks set out to harm a forum owner trying to honesyly help indivduals from the threats and scamming from Nigerian scammers. It became apparent after a time on that forum "Hope" was not just attacking scammers, but in fact good people who had the best of intentions. of helping people.

"Hope" and that forum has become everything I disliked about the threatening scammers. That is not what I signed up for! Quit the forum years ago and see now she is using entrapment to humilate and ridicule others on the net and defame people's characters and businesses in such a way that no logic explains.  Don't know if the site was started wiith good intentions, or if this was the plan all along. Trying to help people in finding and reporting this. I've Made Reports on Pi*sed Off Consumers and I am encourging those legal justice  of those she is falsely defaming and requested for all to see that all my posts be taken off that forum. I am not in any way in support of what they are doing now.

SPS Review Forum

AUTHOR: Joeany - ()

POSTED: Thursday, January 29, 2015

First and foremost, this is not a rebuttal nor an endorsement for SPSRF least for Hope, this site administrator. To date, I am NOT a member of this "community". I am a Canadian consumer living in Toronto Ontario.  I bought splells/psychic readings from a lot of the spellcasters "exposed" by this site as "scammers" . Did I get any results? Like most of this members from this site, I got None whatsoever. Is this site legit or another organized group of Psychic/spellcaster scammers trying to weed-out competition? Who knows, but thats beside the point. The fact remains (I still kept my email threads and payment receipts) that Most of this spellcaster/psychics they "exposed" are the ones I bought services from (some very expensive) and have gotten NO results at all. Yes.. I must attest( from reading their forum threads), they DO NOT endorse any spellcaster or psychic in their general membership/guest column. It is also true that (pls feel free to read their form thread as I did) that every now and again, the site gets infiltrated by scammers posing as members/consumers hideously promoting their business which any intelligent consumer could easily spot. They are eventually banned by Hope, the site admin.  Whenever there is a new spellcaster/psychic some members are enquiring about, other members or guests would share their experience on this individual. Basically all this site have done are exposing this fake spellcasters/ spychics but they have not endorsed any either. I wished I read about this Forum sooner. I would have saved myself thousands of hard earned dollars to scammers. To Spells, Psychics, Spirits Review Column community, You people might/could very well be the other bad guys, but thanks for helping me make an informed decision. "whoever is not my enemy is my friend".

SPS Reveiws - Another Consumer Scam

AUTHOR: Fed Up Consumer - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, February 20, 2013

This site has come up in other forums and topics of discussion on the internet regarding old and new sites flourishing off of donations, referrals and ripping off consumers by complaining about competition.  These sites are a dime a dozen today, however, not many are ballsy enough to actually create the facade of HELPING others weed through the wicked and ripp offs.  Many are free forums created in google, yahoo and other free forum services, yet this one is flourishing off of the income generated by drawing consumers to their site under false pretense and "Off Site" Psychic and/or Spell casting sites.

The main page of this site/forum automatically begins referring u immediately upon entering/joining.  They claim that the sites they refer are the ONLY ones that have been tested for accuracy by THEIR members.

This is an OLD scam.  This one is even worse than some of the other ones out there. They try to create the air of protection by not allowing anyone to just jump right in and start posting.

Yet, at the end of the day, they are guilty of doing exactly what they claim they are trying to refute, drawing people into circumstances where their problems could POSSIBLY be cured if they just could speak to a REAL psychic or Spell caster and then, conveniently enough, hey here's a list of people and sites that WE say are REAL, give it a try, at your own expense of course.  And hey by the way, if you like what we are doing here and want to help keep us alive, we do accept donations, either private or public, it's up to you!

Their message boards are filled with imposters, those who are currently working as psychics, knocking their fellow psychics down and in the middle, the consumer who believes all of this, is being ripped off again, yet this time under the guise of finding the real psychic, the real spell caster, some Real Help, communing with those who are like-minded or who have been ripped off and taken advantage of and, better yet.... the possibility of spending money on a REAL Psychic.

This forum is just another scam. Don't be fooled!

Know your facts

AUTHOR: BrownEyes618 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, January 24, 2013

I wish I had done my research on spellcasters years ago and came across this forum along with a few others. I would have saved A LOT of money. You go on these forums unsure of what is truth and what is lies. What is stated on this forum are discussions about experiences. There may be favortism towards certain psychics and spellcasters but that is because people like myself are looking for someone who is not out to scam them. I have found people that have worked for me and have shared MY PERSONAL experience. I don't see anything wrong with that. I have also share MY personal experience with people who have not worked for me and have given my reasons as to why. Apparently one person was proven false because there were atleast 5 or 6 people who got the EXACT same email from a spellcaster. Yes maybe we are stupid and maybe there is no such thing as spellcasting or psychics but who cares! That is my interest.

Psychics

AUTHOR: Lorenzen - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, November 14, 2011

Indeed.  There is NO SUCH THING AS A PSYCHIC, FORTUNE TELLER OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF "MYSTIC"  !!!  Unfortunately, many morons fall for these charlatans year after year, and refuse to look reality in the face.  Many of these crooks even claim to have received their powers from God, which is laughable, since God explicitly FORBIDS this practice ( Deut. 18 ), along with other types of chicanery and tom foolery.  Oh, well, the gullible will live on and continue to throw away their money, which, of course, is why they all wind up poor.

First of all

AUTHOR: Ramjet - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, November 13, 2011

First of all, Laura from Keen, you are NOT a psychic and you know it.  How do I know that?  Easy, there is no such thing as a psychic.  You are ALL 100% frauds and you know it.

Please don't insult us by claiming you are an honorable 'psychic.  Please get a conscience and a real job and stop ripping people off.  You should be ashamed of yourself but I'm certain you don't have enough integrity to be ashamed.

Same with the ridiculous site you are all talking about, it's just another approach trying pretend there actually are some genuine psychics.

There aren't.  It would be great if there were, but alas, there are not.  I know it and you definitely know it.

I see now it was Don who inaccurately labled me as an admin., and Laura who claims she gives readings on Keen, who falsely said I am a former owner. Please give your user name on Keen, Laura. It's scary to think your readings would be full of such gross inaccuracies. I'm sure others may want to save their hard earned money and go to another.

POSTED: Sunday, November 13, 2011

I am not the forum owner, and not the owmer now, as this Don claims. No one steers people to particular psychics or spellcasters. If they ask then threads are pointed out, where most are claiming successes. If they ask about someone who has been know to take to prey on the vulnerable opinions experiences are shared, again both good and bad. The forum has indeed been around since September of 2010. It has helped  many people.

SPS Reviews Forum

AUTHOR: Maggie - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, November 13, 2011

I am a member of SPS Reviews forum and have been for over a year. Previously it was title Spells Scams Reviews.  I stand befind it 100 percent. It is just consumers sharing their experiences. There is no promoting, or bribery of any kind. If someone comes on advertising they are banned. We all agree NOT to do that when joining. That's different from sharing our truthful experiences, both good and bad. The orginal poster is blantantly fabricating things.

Hope the owner/founder works tirelessly to make and keep the forum a safe and ethical forum. She would never bribe or in anyway insist on any payment, or guide someone to a particular spellcaster or psychic.  Now that we have change servers a donation link is set up just for those who would like to contribute. Thanks to her and to the many contributors many have been saved money and research time.

Fake Spellcaster Reviews?

AUTHOR: Laura - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, November 13, 2011

I am a Psychic on Keen.com and I see a lot of people who get angry and write fake reviews on Rip Off Report and other websites. Some are real people and others are other psychics. I am not on these spell forums but I had a looksie and I think they probably are fake reviews like the original report said. So this is my opinion without bias or malice. Most are not actually reviews but just the owners saying so-and-so is a scam. Here is one of the more recent discussions to show you. I deleted the names.

(First Post: Person has 35 posts)

Has anyone tried any spells from them? They only cast love spells only for a one time fee of $49.

Maybe but results in 2 weeks sounds tempting but i cant find any testimonials...anyone?

---
(Person has 6 posts)

I'm intrigued by their site. I think I will try them. Did you end up trying it?

---
(Person has 800 posts, forum owner)

I am moving the posts about this spellcaster to this section [exposed scammers], a member brought to my attention the fact that phych3d is advertising this spellcaster in another forum which is not moderated and infested by scammers, the locations where the posts come from match, phych3d has not visited the forum since august, looks like he/she was trying to build some trust in the forum before trying to advertise, we have seen it before, sometimes I may come too strong scrutinizing new sites, but I will not maintain a forum for scammers to use it to advertize their dirty business.

Thank you Jade for noticing it and letting me know, it is only when we come toogether that we can expose scammers and make this forum a safer place.

---

(Person has 2700 posts, forum owner)

Thank you for being on top of this and thank you to Jade. Shame, when a fellow member turns out to be less than honest.

----
(Last Post: Person has 7 posts)

You're welcome!

None of the posts look like real reviews except for maybe the first one. The first post might also be a lead-in to slander the psychic. They asked if anyone tried the forum, Has anyone tried any spells from them? And then the owner moved it to the scam section because the same website is advertised on another forum with spam. No one answered the question - if they tried the spells - or actually reviewed anything.

That is what I like about Keen. If you are a psychic on Keen people can try you, give you a rating and then write a real review. On this website almost all of the psychics are just called scammers and called names. The only exceptions are the few that the owners promote like the original post said.

There are almost no actual reviews, testimonials or experiences on these forums. Mostly it is the owners saying that x website is a scam. So yes it does look like a fake review website to me as well.

spsreviewforum.com

AUTHOR: Don - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, November 12, 2011

I feel VERY sorry for the people who lose their money to scammers. The more people exposing scams the better. I do not know if the person who posted the original report was real or another scammer. But after making an account on the SPSREVIEWFORUM and looking around I saw a lot of the report was true.

I did not get a welcome message advertising any special psychics so maybe that was a lie in the report. They may have also changed this after the report was posted because it is just too obvious. Either could be true or not and I have to be unbiased and give both the benefit of the doubt. They do have a members only section like the report says. They do endorse many psychics and spell casters as being legitimate in the members only section. If you believe in psychics maybe they are the real ones. It is just as likely the SPSREVIEWFORUM is a scam. I read other scam reports on websites aside from ripoffreport.com and they even said things like blackmailing psychics were going on to get posts removed. I do not know if that is true. But this report was right and it is obvious to anyone who makes an account that there are favored psychics who are seen as real. They are kept in a private forum for members. There are psychics who are seen as fake and they are exposed in a public forum that anybody can read without making an account.

It makes me suspicious why all the forums are not public so that if someone were scammed by one of the psychics in the members only section they could see and comment. I am suspicious that they moderate this to keep a good reputation for the members only psychics. Maybe the actual psychics themselves run the forum or maybe they get paid to do it.

What the report said about a small bunch of posters is true. Hope is the administrator who made the rebuttal and said that there are 13,000 posts. Most are made by the same posters. Most are also admins or helpers. Obviously not every single person is in on the con and many users are people who are really seeking a psychic. They have low post counts. They come and ask a question and leave. Usually they ask if a psychic is good. An admin like Hope or Maggie steers them away from the psychics in the exposed forum to the psychics the moderators want them to buy from in the private section. That is the pattern I saw on the forum. The mods have high post counts and they make up only a fraction of registered users. Some have obvious names like sps1, as in spsreviewforum.com. Also if spsreviewforum.com is actually from 2010, 13,000 posts is very small. In one year it would only take 10 people making 4 posts a day to exceed 13,000. The post counts of the administrators like Hope exceed 1000 so it is obvious where most of the content is coming from. Real forums after one year usually exceed 100,000+ posts that are evenly distributed. I am a moderator in two Nigerian scam forums and can tell you this from experience.

I do not think the forum is from 2010 either. Google caching has it being done in 2011. This looks like a lie to me. I don't know if Hope meant 2011 but it doesnt look good.

Other things I saw

1. There is no transparency on the forums and whoever is running them is as anonymous as any psychic online. Even online psychics will give you a phone number and a real person to talk to. This forum could be a scam ring in Nigeria or an actual independent citizen to use the words of Hope. Other reports on ripoffreport.com and sites outside say it is a scam from Singapore.

2. spsreviewforum.com is related to spellscams.freeforumsblog.com. On spellscams.freeforumsblog.com they sell get rich quick scheme ebooks like How To Get Your Ex Back and Magick Powers of Crystals for Healing for Profit and Pleasure. They also ask for donations. The owners are making money. It is not a charity or a collective of victims or a nonprofit. It costs less than $100 yearly to run a forum. They are also claiming that these ebooks are part of the real psychics versus the fake psychics. The ebooks and the topics are heavily discussed and endorsed in the members only pages. Law of Attraction, another big scam, is all over the forums. I can't pretend to know what the deal is but someone is making money.

3. The original report had a good point when it said most of the exposed psychics had little discussion. Most threads in the public section do not contain actual reviews or experiences of psychics. A majority are started by a person named Maggie or Hope. Usually they are just one or two posts that say the person is a scammer and to stay away. I don't know if any psychics are real, but no one is actually trying and reviewing most of the psychics they talk about.

4. In my time observing I saw many positive posts about psychics deleted very fast and the posters banned and accused of being scammers. The censorship level is extremely high on the forum. I understand why many psychics would be tempted to give positive reviews to themselves but with the amount of people accused of being scammers, threads deleted and people banned it is impossible to claim that there are independent reviews going on. All of the reviews in the spsreviewforum.com are heavily censored and most come from the in-house crowd.

5. Any time a psychic is accused of being a scam on ripoffreport the most common rebuttal is that it is another psychic defaming them. That is what scam psychics do. That is what Hope just did in the rebuttal. I don't know if you are really a scammer or a real person Hope, but that doesn't look good.

6. There is a risk of fraud and identity theft. Hope said the donations are anonymous. If you make any payment by PayPal your name shows up. So does your address if you have it listed. It is not truly anonymous. If you make a phpBB forum account, which is what spsreviewforum.com uses, then your IP address is recorded, along with the password and user name. You had better be 100% sure that you trust the forum administrators with your information because they will know who you are. You are giving them more information than just visiting a website. And if you use the same password for your forum account that you use for other services, like email, Facebook, or more then they will have your password for everything.

I probably wouldn't trust any of the psychics that were exposed in the forum. But I wouldn't trust the forum itself any more than any other Nigerian psychic fraud. There are too many dodgy and shady things that just don't sit right with me. I think people come to the forum after being scammed and try to find someone to trust who will guide them only to be lured into another psychic scam. If the forum is somehow legit then I am sorry but from what I have seen it looks like another version of the psychic scam. If you do sign up make sure to at least use a different password so they can not steal the password you use for all of your other accounts.

I am Hope from spsreviewforum.com to set the record straight

AUTHOR: Hope - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 08, 2011

I am Hope; I am the founder of www.spellscams.freeforumsblog.com, recently moved to a new server www.spsreviewforum.com.

The forum was created on September 2010 and today we have 13,601 posts in 385 topics.

This forum got started with a small group of people searching for online spellcasters in a spam infested blog. One year later we have grown to be a place for members to share their experiences with spellcasters, psychics, spirits, own spells and support. It has become a small community where we support and respect each other and a source of valuable information and experiences posted by our members.

Everyone is welcome except practitioners and members with an agenda; I have zero tolerance and expose every scammer who joins the board. No service advertising is allowed in the member's pages. Recently I created a new topic for practitioners to post their information without the need to join the forum.

All these reports have been created with false information by a scammer exposed in my forum; here is the link to the ongoing discussion about the reports filed against us : http://www.spsreviewforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=526

Everyone is invited to visit the forum: spsreviewforum.com and be part of our community, together we may not stop scammers, but we can make their operations more difficult. Some get mad when exposed and start a defamation campaign, it has happened in the past and I am sure it will not stop here.

Few clarifications:
Yes, I accept donations to support the forum, via paypal only, all donations are private and voluntary and funds are used to ensure the quality and continuity of the forum.

No, I do not make personal recommendations and in the forum we do not endorse any practitioner, this is an independent and unbiased forum.

I am not in Singapore, not in India, not related to any spellcaster, I do not recommend or endorse any practitioner or company.

No, I am not related to any of the sites mentioned in this report and they are all discussed in the forum, you will find negative and positives experiences from our members.

Who is Hope: I am an independent citizen who was scammed and blackmailed by fake spellcasters with fancy pages and big advertising campaigns. I was victimized when I was desperate and vulnerable. I choose to spread the word and help others, fake reports will not stop me, if anyone wants to help, join and support the forum: www.spsreviewforum.com

Thank to all our members for your support and cooperation.
Hope
