Stanley Steemer, Pressler and Pressler ripoff Trenton New Jersey

Here is what happened to me...I had called my bank one day to see what happen to my account because the balance did not match, so I was told that money was taken out of my account due to a levy that Pressler and Pressler put against me.

I called Pressler and Pressler, after the my bank gave me the number for them. I spoke with a paralegal and they told me that I had written a bad check to Stanley Steemer, I was shocked that this had happened to me. I told the paralegal that I had never dealt with them before in my life. I do not have carpet to clean.

They faxed me the check that was used for Stanley Steemer, and I told them that I had closed the account that the check was written on long before the check was wrote.

They asked for proof, so I called my old bank to show when the account was closed, and my old bank faxed me proof that my account was closed August of 2002. Mean while the check for Stanley Steemer was written in January of 2003.

I was stupid and threw away my check with out ripping them up or shredding them.

So, I faxed that letter to Pressler and Pressler to prove when the account was closed. Then Pressler and Pressler wanted proof that they levied my account, so i had to call my present bank for that information. I had faxed that proof to Pressler and Pressler as well.

Pressler and Pressler sent me a letter that the information that I gave them to prove everything, did not prove that they did the levy and that the account of my old bank was closed and that I did not write the check.

Once I found out about this I had gone to the police station to file a police report about someone taking my checks and writting a bad check on a closed account.
I had faxed the police report to Pressler and Pressler, now they are saying that I file this report three years later and that proves nothing. I told the paralegal that I had just found out about this so How could I file it any sooner?

Pressler and Pressler also had me sign my name three times to see if the hand writiing was the same, so I did. Then they told me it was the same, when it is not. Everyone that I showed the check to and that has seen my writting said that you can tell that they are not the same writting.

Now Pressler and Pressler are trying to garnish my wages of 172.00 per week when I only make a gross of 440.00 per week. There will be no way that I could afford to live off of that at all. I will not have enough to pay my rent, car payment, insurance, phonebill, electric bill, and food off of what I make. that is also not counting gas and other thing I would need.

The check amount that was written to Stanley Steemer was 247.01, now they are trying to make me pay over 1100.00 for something that I did not do. I have done my part to prove that I was not guilty of this, but yet Pressler and Pressler says that I am.

Also they had taken this matter to court, but I was never contacted, because if I was I would have gone to prove that I did not do it.

When I told the paralegal that I should not have to pay anything because I have proven myself and done everything that they asked, and if they think that I am responseable that I was gooing to get a lawyer they got real cross with me and nasty and then they told me that they were ending the call, how fair was that?
