Startmart AKA Start Mart rip off Mesa Arizona

Last Summer, the alternator in my Celica went out. I went to the local Sears garage & the mechanic told me about Startmart. He told me that they could rebuild my alternator for less than the cost of a replacement. I pulled & brought in my alternator and was told that they would rebuild it for $104. I picked up my "rebuilt" alternator the next day and reinstalled it.

It still would not charge my battery. I brought it back TWICE and they did not get it right. Finally, I was told that I must have a short in my car's wiring that was draining away the current. After being told by 2 other mechanics (one of whom told me that they get Startmart customers all the time) that the alternator was bad, I put in another alternator that I purchased from Autozone.

It worked just fine and have had no charging problems. The fine print on the receipt states that they will not refund your $$, they will only try again to fix the problem. Fat lot of good that did me.
