for those of you with the misconception that these steaks are anything close to your average steak that you see at a high end place like ruths chris or perry's steakhouse, i have an answer for you. they are not.

i have sold these steaks to countless residents in houston and the surrounding areas, not as a premium steak but as a steak that has its advantages to those that are not close or cannot make it to the store due to a disability or work related issues.

there are those that are a fly by night salesman that will tell you they are of premium quality and that you can get your money back but if read their brochure carefully like you should have then you would have seen that it says otherwise.

many people are impulse buyers and from what i see thats where most of these comments originate from. people who lack the aptitude to do a little research before they spend money on something.

the salesman who tell lies about them being premium or prime grade steaks or about a false money-back guarantee ruin the business for those of us who are trying to establish a solid foothold in the market. that is why i chose to leave the business for good.

if u go to ruths chris or to perrys or sullivans then these steaks are not for you. if all you ever grew up eating was steaks bought on managers special that your parents would buy in bulk and then freeze then these are steaks made for you.

if u live way out of town with no store near you and a high chance that a storm will hit and take out your power then these steaks are for you. if you pay 30.00 a pound for aged prime grade beef at whole foods, what makes you think you can get an 18 - 20 pound case for 100 - 150?

when i was in this sales market i would show the grades printed on the box and be honest that these are not premium steaks for a cheap price but regular steaks with a swap out guarantee and my awesome personality along with free delivery that they were paying for.

these steaks are not for everyone and its usually a 50/50 chance that a customer will like them, which completely depends on their normal eating habits and the way they were raised.

just remember to make sure you do your research before you buy more than a single small box. if you pay more than 25.00 for a small single box then they are ripping you off.

if you would do a little researching you would see that cooking steak while frozen tends to hold the flavor and juices in. while many places do not cook this way , many cooks have found this to be true.

When I go into a steakhouse, like Ruths Chris, the steaks are not frozen at all. They of course taste delicious. When I buy steaks at the local butcher they're not frozen and they grill up perfectly. The only business I know of that cooks frozen meat is McDonalds. They 'grill' frozen beef patties. Quality meats NEVER need to be cooked frozen 'to maximize flavor'. That's just plain BS..........

I have been buying from the same steakhouse salesman for a little over a year. A few months back he was telling me that there are more and more "independent meatmen" showing up. He said these guys buy old meat and say they work for steakhouse when they really don't. The guy I buy from always has great steaks and chicken. I haven't been dissapointed yet. You don't thaw the meat out before you cook it or it will be very tough.

Very risky. You'll never know the USDA grade for sure.

Their website says 'No Refunds' but they'll be glad to swap crap for crap anytime though. You have to do it a 'store' location, whatever that is. That's real customer service............

Remember........ your local meat store will never be embarassed to tell you the USDA grade up front. Thay'll also refund your money if you're not satisifed. Why take a chance anywhere else. Your health is always worth it.
