I ordered from Steel Bridge Medical, through their internet site, on August 27, 2007 a bottle of Lipoplex w/ Hoodia for $5.59 and a bottle of Lipoplex w/ Hoodia PM for $5.49 (all diet pills).

I received these pills in the mail about ten days later, and then on Sept. 10, a charge to my debit card bank account was made in the amount of $99.95, when I did not order anything further and did not authorize any such charge.

I called my bank to put a stop payment on it on Sept. 11 (today), but my bank said since the charge is already pending, they cannot do that. Instead, I have to file a claim against the company. They also recommended I call or e-mail the company to ask them to please remove the charge from my account.

So I called the Customer Service 800 number, which the website stated was open from 8am-4pm PST, and got no answer, just a very long recording, and then it hung up on me. I called back. Eventually the recording included a repeated message to me that I could leave my phone number with them and expect a call back from them. I did this, and when I got a call back from them, and I answered with "Hello?" there was nothing but absolute silence. This I did twice with the same result.

This company is obviously fraudulent in its methods, there was nothing mentioning a $99.95 charge after fourteen days if I didn't cancel with them, and I had bookmarked the two pages I had visited to order the pills, and found nothing still about this.

Also, it is impossible to cancel with them if the only contact you have with them is a 1-800 number that hangs up on you if you stay on long enough, and calls you back only to give you complete silence.

Please stay away from this company -- they are no good!

I hope to resolve this issue asap, but it'll probably take the bank a while to put through the claim, and in the meantime I am out almost $100.00.
