I worked for this company for less then a month and want to warn everyone against this company. This is not a real job, but rather a front for fraudulant activities. While the installer side is a legetimate auto glass replacment company, the sales side is a front for scammers.
All you are told to do is represent other glass shops and commit rude acts and vandalism as to give other glass shops a bad name. I was even given bussiness cards with the names of legitimate glass shops on them (such as safelite and coastal) and told to leave them at "scenes of vandalisms" where the general manager asked me to break windshields.
After refusing to do said acts the manager yelled racial slurs at me and comment on my sexual preference. After leaving the "job" I was told that "preferred glass shops" don't need sales people since the insurance companies send bussiness their way. So the whole of Sterling sales sides is just a ring of scammers and theives who get bussiness by defaming other reputable glass shope.

The Original Report Is LIES!!!

I have worked for Sterling Glass since their coming into the Charleston area. I have personally known the General Manager for a lot longer. He is the reason I went to work for Sterling Glass, and he is the reason I still work for them. After reading the original lie filled report, I gather that the author must be a former employee named Tosha.

Here are the real facts: Tosha blatantly lied during her interview! She said she had reliable transportation when in fact, she didn't have a vehicle at all. The same General Manager she is blasting in her report is the same person who went out of his way every single day to pick her up, make sure she had something to eat for lunch, and gave her deals to ensure her a paycheck. Yes, he's the same guy who did all of this for her, not to mention, being that Tosha was openly proud of doing her best to look like a man, the General Manager made it perfectly clear that he does not tolerate ANY racial or sexual discrimination of ANY kind, so we, the rest of the employees were NOT allowed to say how we felt about her. 

Nobody would work with her due to her evil lying ways. Telling lies was a normal way of life for her, and after having read her original report, I can easily tell she still only has the ability to lie, lie, lie! The reason she failed at this job was when the General Manager had to fulfill other obligations and couldn't pick her up, then she began directing her lies towards him. Even still, being a direct target for her lies, the General Manager continued to assist her in every way humanly possible. Being a natural born liar, she found it extremely difficult having to be honest towards our customers because the General Manager does NOT tolerate ANY employee telling a customer a lie, and we all know that! 

This part, and I quote, : "I was even given bussiness cards with the names of legitimate glass shops on them (such as safelite and coastal) and told to leave them at "scenes of vandalisms" where the general manager asked me to break windshields."  

That doesn't even make ANY sense! For one thing, Sterling Glass does provide business cards, but unlike your lie, they ALL provide the sales persons name and Sterling Glass contact information, NOT another companies information. You can't even tell the truth when it comes to the business cards! The part about going around breaking windshields was when the General Manager held up a copy of a report that occurred in Florida when a sales person working with Coast to Coast Auto Glass went around busting out windshields in order to make deals. I do recall that day vividly when the General Manager passed that copy to each employee and he clearly stated, and I quote once again, "If any of you ever do anything like this, not only will you be unemployed, but I will see to it that you are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!"  Do you remember that? That's how that incident transpired and you couldn't even be honest about that!

Not one single employee liked you because of your lame work ethics and inability to be honest. You always found fault with other people, but wasn't adult enough to look into the mirror and see your own faults. The General Manager was the ONLY person who went way out of his way to help you every way humanly possible and for you now to bash him makes you lower than trash itself. You were the ONLY one who openly spoke about your sexual preference. There wasn't a day go by that you didn't express your l*****n relationships. It was the General Manager who spoke to you as though you were his very own daughter, offering nothing more than sound advice. Is that your variation of being sexually discriminated against? Knowing you, I guess that's how you would define it!

Even though you lied behind his back, the General Manager never FIRED you, much to all of our dismay. He always said, "Give a person enough rope, and they will always hang themselves." Eventually, when he refused to be your personal limo driver, you finally quit! Besides, the ONLY sales you ever made was when the General Manager gave them to you. You never once earned a paycheck, it was given to you by the same person you are now spreading more lies against. You are so PATHETIC!

By placing your report on this site, you have willingly and knowingly committed an act of FRAUD, not to mention, SLANDER! Here are the real facts, and if you were NOT such a liar of life, then you too would post the real truths, and NOT a bunch of LIES!

1.) Sterling Glass is the largest independently owned glass shop in the state of South Carolina.

2.) Sterling Glass is a "Preferred" glass shop with every major insurance company nationwide. Being a "Preferred" glass shop means that our Lifetime Warranty is honored by the customers insurance company.

3.) Sterling Glass ONLY uses Certified Installers

4.) Sterling Glass does their utmost best to exceed ALL customers level of expectations.

5.) ALL of our employees are given copies of ALL business licenses.

6.) To be eligible for employment, you MUST have a Cell Phone & Reliable Transportation

Also, Sterling Glass sponsors numerous youth programs throughout the entire state and we do work with various notable charity organizations as well. The only SCAM is YOU who posted LIES!!!

Fraudulent Complaint Filed - Here Are the FACTS!

I have been working for Sterling Glass since they first came to Charleston. The individual posting the initial complaint has spoken nothing but lies! Yes, we are provided business cards, but they ALL have Sterling Glass information on them, not ANY other glass shop. Sterling Glass is a "Preferred" glass shop with every major insurance company. Whoever the liar is that filed this complaint on this site obviously has issues with their own morals and work ethics, not to mention, must have just a third grade education due to all the horrible misspellings.

The General Manager this lying individual is referring to is a former police officer. In just about every meeting, he tells every employee to always do the right thing. In fact, he has made the statement countless times that if he caught any employee telling a lie to a customer, then their employment will be terminated immediately. As far as going around and breaking windshields, that is nothing more than a bald face lie! I have never missed a meeting, and never ever heard the General Manager say anything remotely close to that. In fact, he does mention some of our competition, but none of which in a negative manner.

Just for the record, this individual who has reported Sterling Glass in such a fraudulent manner, is probably one of those former employees who LIED on their application. Everyone of our sales people are asked two basic questions in order to qualify for employment. 

1.) Do you have a cell phone?

2.) Do you have reliable transportation?

If an individual cannot answer "YES" to these questions, then we simply cannot hire them. 

The person who lied on Sterling Glass is Tosha, and she LIED during her interview about having reliable transportation. In fact, she had no transportation period! The same General Manager she is blasting in her fraudulent claim was the same person that went out of his way every single day to go to her house and pick her up so she could earn a living. He saw to it that she was provided a means to go out in the field and he made sure she always had a ride home, often times, taking her home himself. Also, Tosha did not hide the fact that she is a l*****n. Nobody cared that she was, including the General Manager. In fact, a comment was made outside of one of our meetings and the General Manager heard the comment. He immediately took that employee off to the side and laid down the law!

Tosha, since this sounds like something you would do, then how come you are unable to speak the truth? Oh yeah, I guess you are going to blame Sterling Glass and the General Manager for you inability to be honest! And just so you know, and anyone else who read your garbage, being a "Preferred" glass shop means that the customers insurance company will honor OUR Lifetime Warranty, and YES, we do get referrals from insurance companies because we are a "Preferred" glass shop. To further add to your blatant bald face lies, if Sterling Glass was a "scam" then NO insurance company would ever call us to service their customers. However, they DO!

I apologize in advance for anyone who took the time to read the initial fraudulent complaint, but I can assure you that Sterling Glass does not tolerate individuals such as the individual who lied when reporting us on this particular site. It's extremely sad that anyone can lie and do their horrible best to defame a company who goes out of their way to ensure everything that is done is in total agreement with every letter of the law. It's people like this loser in life who filed this fraudulent report that would give anyone or any company a bad name due to their unethical morals, horrible work ethics, and their inability to be truthful.
