Steve Longo Toyota employee (imposter) Dressed as Toyota employee uniform worked on car and asked for money for supply and ran with money. El Monte, California

A 22-24 year old Latino Male approached my house and claimed to be an employee of Longo Toyota / Lexus Collision Center.  He was wearing an Toyota employee uniform.  He claimed to be body repair work as a side job to get paid out side of work.  He seemed like a polite person at first and when he returned the next day to start working on the damages on my car,  I realized that he has not brought the paint yet and just a few accessories to do the prep work on the car.  I didn't think to much of it at first as I had a lot going on during the day.  When he was done prepping the car  he sprayed primer and left to "pick up the paint."  He returned with only one aerosol spray can and then sprayed it and quickly covered the entire work with sealer to say that it was done and it'll need colorsanding. I was in a rush to leave to work so I didn't think too much of it and paid him and he never returned and ignored all my phone calls on purpose and once he actually hung up on me right away and I called back and he ignored it.

I removed the sealer to find that he didn't really paint the car as I still saw most of the primer and a light coat of paint.   I called Longo Toyota's Collision Center and the rep that I talked to said there was not a Steven in that department.  So BEWARE of this man.  He drives like a later model (2005-2012) Black Nissan Altima.  He was tan and I remember seeing a tattoo of a child on his forearm.

He claims to do a few work around the area so if you come across him, do not let him work on your car.  I figured out his pattern the hard way, he gains your trust by starting on the repair first without asking for money but when it needs the supply, that is when he runs away with the money.
