Stout Home Remodel and Repair,

I worked for Steve for 4 months, in the 4 months I seen Steve go against the local building codes that were required by the city engineers.

We were remodeling a 100 year old house on Colby Ave. in Everett Washington. The city engineer had said we would need to build bearing walls with foundation under them. After the electrical inspection we began building without further inspections. Without the foundation walls the engineers had said we needed to build. We should not have built the 2x4 walls for support, jacked up the existing beams, or removed bearing points to replace 6x6 with 2x4's. All for saving money.


During this 4 month period he did not pay me regularly for a 2 month period. Stating he did not have the money to pay an expierinced carpenter the $13.00 (which is cheap) he agreed to.

I needed the money for a school that I am going to in Florida. I needed this money for relocation. I have not heard from him since I left Washington. Stout still owes me $1,000.00+.

Let me give you the history of this situation. I have known Stout since high school. My parents gave him a place to stay for 6 months where he wasn't paying rent because his parents kicked him out.

Moral of this story.....Can you trust him?
